Listed in the Good Pub Guide, The Cornish Arms offers traditional pub food, as well as an authentic Thai menu prepared by a Thai chef and cook. Thai banquets are held twice a month (booking is essential). The inn also offers great traditional Sunday roast lunches and dinners. To accompany your meal, the pub serves a host of Real Ales, which has earned them a placed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2009.

The 2000 film Saving Grace was filmed in the surroundings, with some scenes even being shot in The Cornish Arms itself. The spin-off from that film, Doc Martin, is filmed in the nearby village of Port Isaac.

Food & beverage

The Thai menu is served every day except Sunday and Wednesday.

Delicious traditional roast Sunday lunches and dinners are served from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.

Sharps, a local brewery in Rock, brew Pendoggett Special Bitter especially for the inn, and of course many others. The Cornish Arms is very proud to make the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2009. European and new world wines are also available.

Area information

An excellent base from which to explore the Cornish coast and countryside, just a short drive away you can find hidden beaches and coves, as well as the stunning Coastal Path. The inn is also within easy reach of Bodmin Moor and a 40-minute walk from the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac.

Travel information

From Exeter:
- Take the A30 westbound crossing from Devon into Cornwall.
- Take the A395 Wadebridge, North Cornwall exit on the left, about 2 miles from Launceston.
- Follow this road through Piper's Pool, Hallworthy and Davidstow.
- At the T-junction just after Davidstow, turn left onto the A39 (T).
- Look out for the right-hand turning onto the B3314.
- Bear right onto B3314 and follow it through Slaughterbridge and across the staggered T-Junction, through Delabole.
- Approximately 2 miles further on you will find Pendoggett.
- The Cornish Arms is on the right-hand side.
