The lady of the house was a great host its just a shame we did not meet her on our arrival. Breakfast was very good room was good and the bathroom was a great size. I would recommend this B&B
Lovely location. Carol in particular was very friendly and made us feel very welcome instead. Would certainly recommend both the B&B and the location.
The room is ok and fairly clean.
There are things all over the place. The entrance is through a kitchen littered with dirty pots and pans and cats and dogs running around. The bath towels are hard and the surroundings are a mess.
Lovely rooms, nice breakfast and a warm welcome.
Room was very good value with all facilities except a shaving point
Lack of a shaving point
Room and breakfast
Our room was very close to a busy road with lorries traveling up and down throughout the night.
Breakfast was good Very nice room-spacious parking off road
Man that runs it lack of toiletries in the room
We were looking for somewhere quiet and away from everything. We were given a lovely comfortable room. I had thought we had booked the disabled room as we really needed a ground floor bedroom. The room was spacious nicely decorated the tv was disappointing as I have quiet poor eyesight and used the laptop ro watch tv. The owners are very friendly and lovely people. If it wasn't for the planes and the breakfast we would go back but its just not for us.
Difficult parking, tv to small for the size of the room, bathroom door wouldn't close, The choices for breakfast was a bit disappointing. Only bananas offered on 1 of the days. I am very particular when it comes to sausages they were very poor in quality. The weather vane on the roof of the building was vibrating and quiet noisy along with the low flying planes made it difficult in getting a good nights sleep. .
Booked this at last minute. Just stayed for one night. Pleasantly surprised. Nice bedroom with garden view. Good choices for breakfast. Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Would stay again.
The friendliness and welcoming by the owners and staff. The place was very tranquil, ideal for what we wanted and the breakfast was extremely nourishing
minimal car parking
Friendliness and helpfulness of proprietors Lovely rural location handy for Liverpool Nice dining-room with French doors into attractive garden. Handy pub with good pub food. Nice walk to lighthouse on Mersey. Good breakfast.
Noise from low-flying aircraft directly overhead, but not so many and noise only lasts a brief period. Didn't hear them at night. Not really a problem. Bathroom in the coach-house accommodation rather cramped round wash-basin – not much of a problem. Light not good enough for two people to read in comfort in the evening – a problem with virtually all B&Bs.
Good value, quiet village location, friendly hosts, relaxed and great breakfast.
rooms were spacious and the bathroom was excellent. Lovely location and the breakfast was great with a good selection of items.
parking was a bit tight due to renovation work
Friendly owners - good value!
A bedside light both sides of the bed would have been better
Location and Hale village is a nice place to be
the room was great, loved the cat and the dogs,
needs a better atmosphere around breakfast table , as it felt rather uncomfortable. maybe have a radio on or music to break the silence, sharing a breakfast table with 4 strangers can be quiet awkward . bed a little creaky
Location in quaint village
Owners distracted by family function and not able to give full attention to guests
Warm welcome from Carol, lovely modern room with quality fixtures and fittings and most important - Spotless. Rural location ideal for visiting Liverpool after a hearty breakfast.
Friendly family, great breakfast, comfortable clean room
Lovely comfortable room. Really modern and clean with good facilities.
A little disorganised at breakfast and we had to wait half an hour when we stated what time we wanted it.
style of accomodation and surrounding area
We were upgraded to a cottage in Hale village which we had to ourselves. This was excellent with all facilities and was a great surprise. The English breakfast was superb and all for £66 per night!
everything couldn't fault a thing great breakfast Already booked again
The room we had at the cottage was warm, spotlessly clean and spacious. The wet room was wonderful with a powerful shower. It's quiet, the owners are friendly and helpful and it felt like a real home, especially with the wonderful addition of Maggie the dog and the cats Eric and Daphne! Would definitely stay there again
Eric the cat!! Great breakfast and the chickens were lovely. It was great that even though we were late arriving they waited up for us. The bed was luxurious and Hale Village is lovely. Dont forget Eric the cat.
nothing to dislike
