Accommodation homely/clean/good breakfast. Nice welcome on arrival. Lovely walks on your doorstep, without using the car.
cleanliness, comfort and staff
price (it wasn't high season so we felt the price a bit high)
The very warm welcome and helpful hospitality. An excellent breakfast in very comfortable surroundings.
No sink in the bedroom. Accepted using a shared bathroom but would have liked a sink to fill kettle, brush teeth, get drink etc.
Lovely warm and friendly hostess. Beautiful cottage and location. Excellent breakfast.
Fantastic breakfasts, lovely home-made jam quiet location helpful owners
Hospitality Helpfulness Bright attractive rooms Great breakfast - outdoors in nice weather
This delightful B&B was just perfect for my wife and I. The cottage and gardens were picturesque. Our hosts were so attentative to all our requirements and genuinely friendly.I requested flowers and chocolates to be left in the room as it was our anniversary, and the presentation was perfect. The accommodation was spotless and very homely. The variety and quality of the breakfast was really something to get up for, served in the beautiful gardens. (We were very lucky with the weather). The holiday was one to remember and we will definitely be returning. This is one accommodation I have no reservations about recommending. Thank you and well done.
There was nothing to dislike.
Our one nights stay was warmly welcomed with a cup of tea, then shown our room to the rear of the Cottage with fantastic views, very clean and tidy through out. Best of all was the breakfast out on the decking in the lovely garden and sunny. Well recommended.
Lovely location, lovely host and excellent breakfast
Very nice host Maureen. She made us feel at home. Charming house and room. Beautiful garden. Very quite.
The lovely garden The noise of the seagulls A pub within walking distance A very welcoming staff A lovely breakfast
It might be the area, and the season, but I found it slightly over priced.
The owners were lovely people. The breakfast was lovely. A really cosy house and very clean.
Location, food , hosts everything
lovely host, excellent food & very comfortable room
Beautiful, quaint English cottage Wonderful host Lovely room Great comfortable bed
Nothing. Was perfect
The entire stay was a delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and 3 breakfasts were all excellent. There were five of us and each of us was served at the same time. The bedrooms were clean and very comfortable with lovely views of the surrounding garden and countryside. If we require a place to stay near Weymouth in the future, I hope "The Cottage" will be available. The walks in the area were varied and Sutton Poyntz is a most attractive village.
Cannot think of a thing!
Travellers has 2 Ls!
The location is outstanding, with very pretty gardens in which to relax and take breakfast. Maureen's attention to detail was second to none, and she catered for our every need, which extended to booking us a table at a local restaurant. We will definitely return soon, and intend to do so on a regular basis. Everything inside the cottage is immaculate. When I booked I had told Maureen that my husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and upon arrival we found a bottle of wine and some chocolates in the room, with a handwritten card. Outstanding, faultless, and a real find. Hugely recommended.
There is nothing we didn't like about The Cottage.
We were made very welcome including our two small dogs. Lovely b & b everything was excellent and the breakfast was great. Only needed to stay one night but would definitely book again.
There was nothing to 'dislike'!!!!
Lovely place, very clean and very friendly!!
A bit pricey for a not central location; the noises travel through the house; but still the secret tip for a place to go to when you are in Weymouth
Excellent welcome and lovely property to stay in (an oasis of calm tucked away in a busy area) - very clean and tidy. Full drink making facilities in the room. Breakfast was full English and really very nice. A gem of a find - sad to only be there for one day!
More than I would normally expect to pay for a B&B due to the extra £30 for the child bed. For £130 I would expect the ameneties of a small hotel. On balance, I wouls stay again despite the price but would prevent a longer stay. Not a big deal but WiFi didn't work whilst we were there (only 1 night though).
This b&b was just 'perfect' the people were lovely, the room, food everything was faultless. We were struck by the attention to detail. The bed was sooo comfy, even though it looked like an old cottage we expected it to be run down inside, but it was immaculate! We sat to breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the beautiful gardens &views of the country side. The breakfast was of highest quality there was a large selection of cereals & fruits we ordered a full English breakfast which was all locally sourced food and extremely tasty. We will 100% return soon with the hope of staying longer & have recommended it to our friends & family ! Really Cannot say enough positive things about this place !
Generally everything was exactly as I wanted and an excellent find.
