Too hot in rooms so turned heating off
Location was convenient, and staff helpful and friendly. We stayed there because of Blunos Restaurant attached where we had a fabulous meal.
Hotel was virtually deserted so lacked atmosphere
The staff made our stay really great. They responded to our individual requirements and helped to make our stay very pleasant.
Everything was fine. Just as we expected.
New Year and girlfriend's birthday. Each of the staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough. Thank you. Amazing view over Bath.
Spartan style of the hotel. 'Dried out' breakfast. Miscommunication re the price of the linked hotel-restaurant event. Very disappointing.
Loved the close proximity of Blunos restaurant to the County Hotel. Walking distance to the shops.
Would like a gym or spa.
Excellent value for money and will definitely book again.
Good parking for Central Bath
The location of the hotel was excellent for us, a 10 minute walk away from the business of the Christmas markets. The breakfast staff were very friendly.
The room was very small, more suitable for one person. There was barely enough space for my husband and I to move around the room at the same time. The shower would run from hot to cold when in use. The bed was poorly made on our second night stay there (sheets were wrinkled, not smoothed or tucked in like you may expect and duvet was thrown back over the bed). The hotel lacked warmth and atmosphere and while there was seats in the bar area it was not very inviting. Could have done with an open fire in the bar or reception area, something which you may expect in a hotel.
Quite pricey Room was smaller than expected
Lovely room with comfortable bed and nice linen. Gorgeous fluffy towels. Very nice breakfast - I asked for porridge on the second morning which was provided and tasted very good. Nothing too much trouble.
The lighting down to the on-site restaurant - not too good when it's dark.
Easy walking distance into centre to enjoy the Abbry and Christmas Markets
Good parking facilities Excellent breakfast Location of hotel to Bath Centre
Shower very temperamental one minute scorching hot then freezing cold no in between unless u like a like warm shower. Scaffolding on rear of building
quiet room with view of bath
Really helpful and friendly staff. Great location, easy flat walk to the attractions with ample free parking. Very good breakfast. Lovely view of the Abbey from our room at the back of the hotel.
Wifi only available in public areas. Only one chair in deluxe room, so one of us had to sit on the bed, although nice roomy bar area downstairs with comfortable seating. Altogether, the pros definitely outweigh the cons, and I would happily stay again!
Loved the fact it was so near to the centre, good walking distance.
Didn't go much on the cooked breakfast but continental was ok
Room small Shower - water was hit or miss, either freezing cold or very very hot!
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Location good- only 10 minutes to city centre. Room was small but had everything we needed. Had a lovely meal at Bluno's fish restaurant situated at the rear of the hotel.
Bathroom was tiny, there was nowhere to hang towels near the wash basin. The radiator thermostat didn't seem to work - it was just very hot or cold. Breakfast was undercooked and served on cold plates.
Andy he was very good and attentive
Shower goes hot and cold; room was terrible shape and therefore too small; TV was difficult to operate; top flight of stairs to room are too steep; main road was noisy; no lift to 2nd floor; breakfast wax adequate on first day, 2nd day wen arriving at 9.45 having been told breakfast was served until 10. We were told there wasn't any as everything had been cleared away at 9.30 when breakfast finishes. After explaining that we were told that breakfast was until 10 by the night porter, we were presented with a breakfast which had no bacon and every thing else was cold. We were also told that there was only one tint pat of butter left on the whole restaurant so we had to have margarine. Needless to say we left the breakfast and got something in town, at our own cost.
I was just bed & breakfast - Food was very good, nice and fresh - good service by staff. The hotel staff were very good and helpful.
The scaffolding at the window! (I understand it is going tomorrow - Monday 8th)
Excellent location only 10 mins from the centre and the Roman baths. Free Parking was a big bonus as we were there for the xmas market. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
The scaffolding outside the bedroom window spoilt the view. Would have liked a variety of pastries included in the breakfast.
Location was good to access local attractions. All within easy walking distance. Christmas market was in lovely location.
Four ladybirds on ceiling of room. Scaffolding around building didn't give best impression on arrival and hampered views from breakfast room. It would have been nice to be notified of this before arrival.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast had plenty of choice.
nice friendly hotel
lots of very steep stairs, very small bedroom
Room was too small. Shower very small.
