Hotel is in a great location in Hove, just a short walk from the seafront. The hotel is pretty basic and in need of updating but was fine as a place to crash for a night. Has free parking which is good for Brighton decor is fairly hideous but that wasn't a priority for me. In need of a lick of paint and new sheets without holes.... |

Reception was friendly and efficient. Parking, which is a nightmare in Brighton, was available and was the prime reason- plus location- for choosing this hotel. |

Size of room, shower was excellent, bed was very comfortable, liked free off-road parking. Yes. Having driven in circles for more than 15 minutes, my girlfriend managed to spot the sign for the hotel carpark which is on a lamppost and is no bigger than a postcard and almost impossible to see from the road, much less read. Having parked and checked in we were given a key to Room 309 and after a long search ended up on the third floor where the rooms ended at 308. Having exhausted all logical options we returned to the reception where the (otherwise helpful) young lady took a very casual approach to helping us in that she simply didn’t seem to care. She did however fetch someone to guide us to the room, which in hindsight I now regret not tape recording for the purposes of surreal art. As it turned out, (you’re doing to love this) room 309 is not signposted. Rather, it IS signposted, but to find the sign, you need to guess your way to the second floor, follow the signs for the Bridal Suite (well obviously) and once you pass it, go through another set of doors and THEN follow the sign up some stairs to room 309. The gentleman who arrived to guide us impressed me immediately by utterly failing to offer assistance to either myself or my girlfriend in carrying any of our numerous and heavy bags. He did however offer some memorable pearls of wisdom which were gratefully digested through the fug of despair we were by now experiencing, concerning the downright bizarre room numbering system of the hotel. When we finally arrived, I was dumbstruck that he had the nerve to smugly, and with a clear air of superior disapproval, state that ‘some people have trouble finding their rooms.’ By ‘Some people’ I can only assume this means ‘people who can read and count’ given the geographical oddity which is your Hotel. |

The close proximatry to the city centre. The curteousness of the staff and the general cleanliness of the establishment. I know you had building work going on but the car park was a let down. I would like to see the car park have a proper surface laid. |

The location was good the room was clean & tidy. The swimming pool out of action,no mention, If i knew i would have gone somewhere else. The juccuzi was out of action. The lobby light was flickering making a dreadfull noise. Finally it was a maze to find room. Compensation would be accepted. |

It was close enough to Brighton to either walk along the sea front or take a short taxi ride into the City. As the Car Park was full at the tim eof our arrival we were advised to park in the street. However when we returned to our car the following morning we had been given a parking ticket as the street was for permit holders only. The hotel should have given clearer advice on where we could park without incurring a fine. |

its convenient location:close to hove beach and only one hour's pleasant walk away from brighton. staff were very friendly and professional and we could leave our cases all day after checking out. decor was quite shoddy. Shower not so good and only worked at half height so my husband had to crouch to use it. We got an alarm phone call at 3in morning which we hadn't asked for! Breakfast not included for expensive price. |

the hotel was in a good location, an easy walk to the city centre and beach, but far enough away from the noise of the city. Very cosy, comfortable and spacious room and all very clean. The room decor was a bit dated, although in good repair. There was a wedding reception on so there was a bit of noise from the disco, but it seemed to finish relatively early. |

My husband and I decided to spend a night away - somewhere at the coast. We stayed at The Courtlands hotel as it was so close (walking distance) to the beach and Brighton town centre. It turned out to be an excellent choice as we had a variety of restaurants and interesting shops and markets on our doorstep. The hotel was comfortable, with spacious bedrooms, the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast scrumptious. Many thanks for a lovely night away. |

Tired facility, not attractive to leisure traveller. Probably OK as business/conference facility for low/middle managers. High breakfast charge; internet charge generally free elsewhere |

Our room smelt like a sewer, and was more like a cupboard than a room. Car park showed the guests the back of the hotel which looked like a slum. |

Excellent room - lots of space and nicely decorated. There was a stag weekend staying and we got hardly any sleep on the Saturday night. We phoned reception and complained a number of times, but it made no difference. we complained in the morning and were told there was no manager on site and to ring on Monday, we did this and left numerous messages but they never phoned back. It ruined the whole experience. |

A comfortable and clean hotel with reasonable rates for the price. It was also very quiet at night when sleeping and with excellent restaurants nearby I thought the charges for the Internet usage were too high and would have prefered the breakfast included |

Having stayed at this hotel on a few occasions on this break we landed a room on the 3rd floor. The room itself was lovely with plenty of wardrobe space and an area to sit - there was room for two more as there was a sofa bed there too! There was no indication that you had to switch on for hot water, which was noisy when switched on and was not labelled or indicated in the hotels welcome pack. |

The local. It´s very near the centre of Brighton. Very near from the sea. Excelent to enjoy with a bike. The excessive noise of the windows. They are made of wood... |

The hotel was booked for it's position close to a friend. I did find it close enough to the beach and to the town, plus it had a car park. Very old fashioned bedroom furniture, shabby curtains and poor bathroom. Would have liked a proper shower and a bath chain and plug that was not broken |

Room size was fine, 24 hour reception was helpful, staff were very good. Room was clean, although shower was quite old and could have been a bit cleaner. For a single room, the size of the room was fine. |
