The friendly welcome, the location, the gardens and the appartment were just delighful.

Such a great place; gorgeous comfortable accommodation, lovely location and fantastic service. Maggie was so welcoming and informative about the local area. And of course the breakfast was fantastic, especially as they had no problem accommodating for my Veganism!! Wish we could have stayed a few more nights. Thanks!

No window or extractor fan in bathroom

Really liked Maggie. Nothing was too much trouble and se was not only interesting to talk to but was interested in us too. Toasted tea cakes on arrival and delicious, generous breakfasts. Very spacious accommodation. We liked having our own front door. Huge towels and good variety of smellies in the bathroom. We were there for a very muddy mountainbike sportiv and Maggie was unphased by the filthy bikes and even offered us the use of a hose. The B&B is in a beautiful, peaceful spot and I wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend it.

The apartment was spotless, location beautiful, host was really friendly and helpful and the food was incredible.

Nothing- it was such a great place to stay

We had a two-night stay at Courtyard in early February. The place impressed us the moment we arrived. Everything is well-designed and well-maintained. The host Maggie was extremely helpful and she prepared very tasteful breakfast. The last day one of my car's wheels was flat and Roger was very kind to put on the emergency tire (as we had never done it ourselves) and led us to the nearest garage. Highly recommended to anyone who want to have a stay in south wales countryside.

Friendly owners. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room with separate lounge area. They left us some basic provisions as we were leaving before breakfast including fresh pineapple.

Pre visit phone call. Friendly greeting. Beautiful location. Lovely contemporary studio appartment which made a change from the standard twin room arrangement in a normal hotel. Separate bedroom and lounge diner. Generous bathroom and separate dressing room. Fully stocked kitchen. All toiletries and cleaning items provided. Breakfast was a real treat with everything locally sourced and homemade items such as bread and marmalade. Bliss.

This was the best B&B I have ever stayed in. It was exceptional in every way. The attention to detail and desire to please were far beyond our expectations. It is a small place and consequently focuses keenly on guest's needs. We had an excellent night's sleep in a huge bed in a nicely, slightly quirkily, furnished bedroom with windows on two sides, looking out over fields on one side and a beautiful garden on the other. The views of the night sky were equally spectacular as there was very little light polution. The facilities were first class and we had a great breakfast in a room of our own. It was also so refreshing to have real milk, real coffee and bottled water in a little fridge in our rooms. The bath/shower room was very spacious and well appointed. The towels were voluminous and the supplied toiletries were excellent. We stayed here in the middle of a tour around the Wye Valley and I really do wish we had not pre-booked other B&Bs because this meant we had to move on. It set the standard that exceeded that of three hotels and two other B&B establishments - We would go back there like a shot!

The only possible slight negative was that my sat nav left me stranded in a narrow lane (at what turned out to be the end of the garden) and I had to walk 100m and look around to find the place.

I liked everything about the Courtyard from the warm welcome, the extremely comfortable spacious accommodation, the gorgeous garden, to the beautiful countryside views. Having stayed in many hotels and B&B's in most parts of the UK and overseas I feel that Maggie and Roger have got it just about right.

The Courtyard b&b offers one room! This is very comfortable and well furnished to a high standard. A spacious and well appointed bathroom complements to room and both are served by a an entrance lobby provided with beverage facilities including a fridge and space for walking boots/wellingtons etc. Breakfast is taken in an adjoining Dining/Sitting room, which is solely for the use of guests. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. Probably more suited to a longer stay than the overnight that we had.

SatNavs are misleading in locating the property. It is better to follow the directions provided by the owners.

The Courtyard was excellent. The rooms are immaculate and extremely clean. Maggie is a fantastic host and her attention to detail is very impressive. You will enjoy your stay at the Courtyard.

Beautiful location, tasteful decor, gorgeous gardens and wonderful breakfast. The owners Maggie and Roger were superb hosts and extremely helpful.

The weather was really bad, but returning to Maggie & Roger at the Courtyard each evening really made my weeks stay in Wales enjoyable. They were so welcoming and helpful (especially when I found I'd forgotten my wellingtons!). Their fantastic breakfasts really set me up for the day - the homemade marmalade was to die for. Coming back each evening to a deep hot bath and a huge comfy bed meant I managed to last till the end of the week. If I return next July then I'll definitely be booking again.

My only criticism is the televison signal was occassionally intermitant - just as an important part of the programme was being transmitted! And I had to go outside to get a mobile signal - but this is Wales.

A very relaxing and friendly welcome. Great service in a superb setting.
