Staff very friendly and helpful. Good lunch and breakfast.

Bedroom overheated - no need to put radiator on in August!

Its site is situated in the middle of a very nice village. The rooms were comfortable and of a good size. Nice area with plenty to visit.

Everything about the Hotel was excellent, nice attentive staff, fabulous breakfasts and dinner, bed was comfy and room was clean and tidy.

Room was a little small but in view of the age of the Hotel it did not concern us.

The staff were excellent - the actual location of the Hotel was first class. Breakfast choice was very good. The Hotel was clean and tidy.

Our Bathroom did not have a bath ! Parking was a bit hit and miss although a free car park was a short walk away.

The staff were extremely pleasant and nothing a problem to them. We were staying in the apartment which included breakfast. It was great and had everything in it that was needed. We also booked dinner most nights and it was superb. We have been here before and would recommend it.

Location was great. The food was excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly (they made the stay as good as it was). The wi-fi, when it worked, was excellent.

Rooms badly needs a makeover, the bed was "hard as nails" (and I like a hard bed). The wi-fi, when it worked, was excellent. Very limited storage space (one wardrobe, no chest of drawers). Poor lighting. Shower was tiny (but a 'normal' size - 760 x 760 mm).

Handy for Falkland. Friendly villagers. Quiet. Room nice size.

Bed was OK but the duvet was too hot for summer use - 13.5 Tog - and the outside temp was too cool to take duvet off. Some shelves in bathroom over sink and in shower would be useful -nowhere to lay spectacles or soaps etc.

The location is lovely. The food was good, both dinner and breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room and view were very nice, bar cosy.

I'd have liked something in the bathroom to lay toiletries etc on.

The room was really cosey, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was really nice and helpfull. The breakfast was great and diverse. This hotel is not like those big hotels, where you sometimes would feel like any other guest. This one is really cosey and everyone overthere makes you feel at ease and at home. I would definately recommend this place to others.

Unfortunantly the WiFi did not for quite a while. It made it a little bit difficult to look up places where to go. Luckily the staff recommended nice routes and places to visit. All in all it was not too bad ;) Even adventurous

Excellent friendly staff, warm clean room in a fantastic location and one of the best cooked breakfasts I have eaten.

The carpet in the room wasn't fitted properly and was a bit wrinkled in places. The bed was a disappointment as the bed boards were not fixed to the bed frame and moved around when you turned! The lock on the bedroom door was a bit stiff and an old door lock had been removed without area being re-painted. This is the only reason I did not give the room an excellent.

The room was lovely and bright, well laid out and comfortable. Shower was good with lots of hot water. Staff were helpful.

Unfortunately as we hadn't booked we were unable to get a table in the restaurant and had to go elsewhere, will remember to book in the future.

Service was excellent and good value for money.

The rooms were antiquated. the bed was from the 1900s and the carpet from the 1970s, but in fairness, the room was warm and quiet and the Bed, comfortable. Just not to my taste.

The location is excellent, opposite the Church and very near the Palace. The Covenanter Hotel has an attractive, historical exterior and is well decorated inside. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, an amazing view from the window, and a good selection of tea, coffee etc with biscuits, and a decent sized kettle and mugs. The ensuite was spacious and light, and both rooms were clean. The breakfast could not be faulted, with a selection of fresh fruit, yogourt, cereals, and a full Scottish breakfast freshly cooked. The staff members were very helpful and friendly. When we were there it was blissfully quiet but it might get noisier in the summer with more tourists around? We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely little hotel in a really nice Village - with so much here that was a complete surprise for me. I think it must get busy in the summer. Breakfast was great but the restaurant was closed during my stay.

Shame the restaurant was closed, but I understand when it is quiet which it clearly is at this time of the year. Would have liked wifi - it was mentioned that it was available when I booked.
