Cosy historical very friendly staff.
Useless bed lights/ bed too small.
Location .Few bars short walk nice food at hotel lovely breakfast.
Bathroom was a tired..
Nicely decorated and comfortable with a great location. Lovely warm welcome and breakfast (particularly excellent breakfast staff). Good breakfast spread and very good bacon. No hesitation to stay again.
Nothing negative per se, more slight potential to improve to make a pleasant stay really a knock the lights out stay: 1)Replace synthetic pillow/duvet with feather would really feel more lux boutique hotel like 2)Bathroom a little dated (green) and whilst shower pressure was acceptable a larger shower head/power shower would have knocked the lights out.
Very welcoming hotel and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing springs to mind.
The snug bar was was very cosy with wood burning stove. Evening meal in restaurant was very good as was the service.
The ensuite shower room was of poor quality - very cold, the shower head didn't work and the water didn't run off. A long wait for breakfast considering there was only six guests.
the palace looks awesome although didn't get to see it being overnight stay. lots of character and Scottish charm. its always pleasure visiting Scotland and so pleased it stayed in the family.
i didn't get to stay a couple of days to explore and see that Palace.
The decor was lovely and you couldn't have felt more welcome.
This is a lovely little hotel in a beautiful setting . Falkland has so much history to explore and for us was conveniently located for gleneagles as we were up for the Ryder cup. We received a very warm welcome and great service throughout our stay . Breakfast was included and a good choice was available . The restaurant serves evening meals which after a long day was most welcome Tea/coffee making facilities with plentiful supplies.
Bedrooms somewhat dated but comfortable . Large bathroom but shower was small and dark . A power shower would have helped as water pressure very low . Bed linen and towels a bit tired
Nice location plenty pubs eating places for a small town.
Room didn't get serviced think they forgot.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good lunch and breakfast.
Bedroom overheated - no need to put radiator on in August!
Poor attitude from On duty manager , defiantly not a deluxe room. Dirty shower with very low water pressure . Had to haggle to arrange time for breakfast .
Its site is situated in the middle of a very nice village. The rooms were comfortable and of a good size. Nice area with plenty to visit.
Everything about the Hotel was excellent, nice attentive staff, fabulous breakfasts and dinner, bed was comfy and room was clean and tidy.
Room was a little small but in view of the age of the Hotel it did not concern us.
A clean, comfortable hotel in the centre of a beautiful village. Good food and friendly, helpful staff.
Nothing to dislike.
The staff were excellent - the actual location of the Hotel was first class. Breakfast choice was very good. The Hotel was clean and tidy.
Our Bathroom did not have a bath ! Parking was a bit hit and miss although a free car park was a short walk away.
The staff were extremely pleasant and nothing a problem to them. We were staying in the apartment which included breakfast. It was great and had everything in it that was needed. We also booked dinner most nights and it was superb. We have been here before and would recommend it.
Was staying here for a wedding at church across road with a friend! Will definitely return here with my partner! Loved it!
Could not connect to wifi.
Friendly staff. Good food. Comfortable beds. Nearby attractions. Great cake. Very welcoming.
Location was great. The food was excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly (they made the stay as good as it was). The wi-fi, when it worked, was excellent.
Rooms badly needs a makeover, the bed was "hard as nails" (and I like a hard bed). The wi-fi, when it worked, was excellent. Very limited storage space (one wardrobe, no chest of drawers). Poor lighting. Shower was tiny (but a 'normal' size - 760 x 760 mm).
Beautiful location in a lovely village, good restaurant at the inn, several nice pubs nearby, perfect for our needs.
The hotel and staff were really nice and friendly and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. Great value for money and I would highly recommend a stay here.
Handy for Falkland. Friendly villagers. Quiet. Room nice size.
Bed was OK but the duvet was too hot for summer use - 13.5 Tog - and the outside temp was too cool to take duvet off. Some shelves in bathroom over sink and in shower would be useful -nowhere to lay spectacles or soaps etc.
Managing luggage up stairs
The location is lovely. The food was good, both dinner and breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room and view were very nice, bar cosy.
I'd have liked something in the bathroom to lay toiletries etc on.
Good service .The staff were very pleasant and attentive .The evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was hugh and kept me going all day . Will definitely stay there again when I'm up that way .
Had no wi-fi connection I think it would be very useful especially when I'm working
