Liked that it was near shops
Had to wait to long for our meal room was not warm enough could not get radiator to work
The walk to the waterfall behind the hotel.
Warm friendly atmosphere from all staff. Building was very homely. Locals rubbing shoulders with holiday makers was great to see in the bar area. Great food. Great value.
Breakfast hours are restricted to one hour. But it does say to ask if you need it earlier. Which I didn't. So it is probably my own fault.
the staff was pleasant the bathroom was clean the breakfast was good although Crags Hotel is a pub, no noise came to our bedroom from the bar and dining area (which was only separated from our bedroom by a lobby and door).
The room and bathroom were outdated. The sink in the bathroom was split. the room itself did not feel clean and there was 20 years of dust coagulated under the window and by the radiator. Also the age of the bedspreads made the bed look and feel dirty. The room just did not feel clean. Because of that, our booking was definitely not good value for money
friendly staff and locals, we were made to feel very at home. Food excellent.
Quite a lot of noise came from the bar, although we were 3 flights away we still had disturbed sleep till 2am from locals using bar facilities. This was mentioned at booking but was told it would stop around midnight.
Food was very good and good value, the locals were friendly and the staff very helpful. Perfect location for exploring the town and the local area.
nothing i checked out
Easy access, staff very helpful. Keen to make stay comfortable
The rooms were smaller then we like
Friendly staff Good food Good location
Room a bit small and tired.
Great food and lovely staff especially Anna.
Rooms very tired. Overpriced compared to other establishments in Callendar.
Breakfast was great
The room needed a bit of a spruce up
Friendly and amenable staff
Slightly tired decor
Food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable rooms with secure parking at the rear. Great location for touring.
Not really a problem for me on the night but please be aware that you can hear people in the bar from the rooms on the front. If you think it will be a problem for you then request a room at the rear.
Friendly and helpful staff, good choice for breakfast.
We stayed in the family room and the smell of damp was disgusting. My childs bedding had a stain on the sheet although the room had been cleaned.
Breakfast was nice, the proprietess was the chef and is lovely. Room was comfortable and nice size.
Rare summer heat, room needed a fan. Few electrical outlets in the room, noisy bar in the evening. Many cheap rooms available in town, but we were happy with the Crags.
Friendly staff. Accepted by locals. Excellent food. Good bar
In need of repair and serious modernisation. Bathroom extractor fan defunct and no opening window. Inadequate clothes hanging space. Noisy water pipes.
Very thin curtains
Everything! The staff and locals alike were extremely warm and friendly. The food was excellent. Very good value for money and a fantastic base to explore the area
Nice staff, good location (not far from things to see, but easy to reach from Glasgow by car), full breakfast (plenty to eat!), the pub with the locals
The sofa bed in the family room is not really comfortable, the walls need re-painting
Lovely little hotel - beds were really comfortable and food was excellent - wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
Rooms were tidy. Centre of town. Bar downstairs. Scottish Breakfasts were great. Would recommend.
Mattresses in the twin beds need to be replaced
The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable.
I was in room 8 and do feel that some curtains are required as the houses across the road can see right into the room. Even net curtains would do
