Location. Staff. Food. Service all excellent great value.
Room small but adequate. Unfortunately the people in the next room very noisy, constant door slamming kept me awake. But this wouldn't deter us from staying there again.
The food quality at breakfast and in the evenings was excellent. The location of the Craven Arms is excellent in that it provides easy access to the Yorkshire Dales.
The bedroom was on the ground floor and quite close to the main road (A65). We were aware of the traffic noise at peak times.
the general feeling of casual but comfertable
Clean and comfortable surroundings. Excellent food
The position, close to brilliant walks and villages Landlord and his staff were excellent as was the food and beer!
Bed was uncomfortable, too hard for me Noise from the road but most of all No bath! an absolute must for walkers
Friendly staff and excellent food made this a brilliant base for exploring the Dales and attempting the Three Peaks Challenge.
Breakfast at 8.30-9.30, was too good to exchange for a 'packed breakfast', so we were a little later than we should have been starting the challenging walk up the Three Peaks.
My son and I had travelled to Yorkshire to have a days photo shoot around Ingleton. We could not have wished for a better place to start our day. The food is amazing, the staff so friendly and rooms clean and comfortable. We will return here.
We only had only booked one night at the Craven Arms!!
Everything was good.. The illiterate derogatory comment should be ignored
The food was excellent. Would come again just for that.
Rooms a little tired but adequate but I think they are working on that.
Good bed nice breakfast. Windows in room small nice beer
Limited evening menu
good food. good location,comfortable,lovely views
The refurbished bar area and restaurant were very nice and had a nice atmosphere. The food was really good although a little expensive. Maybe some mid priced meals could be included. The location for onward travel was good although noisy with road traffic. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Nick was really nice and is working really hard to make the family business work. We will certainly return.
We had room 1 which is on the small side but decorated nicely. The windows need double glazing to block the traffic noise. The plumbing was noisy and the floor very creaky from above. Sadly outside room 1 is the door from the car park and the door from the main hotel so all the comings and goings are heard. Despite the negatives we would return as the rest of the stay was so nice but not in room 1.
My wife requires a gluten-free diet. Nothing was too much trouble for the Staff. they ensured that the Chef was made aware and the choice of gluten-free dishes at dinner was much better than other places that advertise a gluten-free menu. Breakfast was very filling and again they catered for gluten-free and vegetarian diets. Overall the Hotel was well-situated for a holiday in the Dales and we will happily repeat our stay at another time.
Food was excellent.
One night rowdy occupants of caravan outside window. Had to wait one hour for food order. In en suite bathroom, hot water dribbled from tap and basin plug did not close. For a "luxury" room, ours seemed very small.
Very nice room, friendly and efficient staff, great food, very welcoming.
Not a dislike exactly, More an observation, I stopped in a ground floor room which was lovely, however cars parked directly outside my windows which impacted on my privacy. Other than that, it was lovely
Good food, excellent lamb. Everything was of good standard and well priced, very clean and nice staff.
Cannot think of anything to the hotels detriment.
The views were breath taking. Nice clean modern room. lovely stylish hotel with a country feel.
Dinner menu was small and quite expensive for the small portions you get, breakfast was good but again small!
Lovely friendly staff especially the proprieter. Fantastic food! Best we've eaten for a long time. Please ask for the restaurant menu rather than the bar menu. We in advertantly picked up the bar menu only on the first night and decided wrongly to eat elsewhere that night. Good to see locals choosing The Craven Arms for their special celebration meals - this speaks volumes. Great decor and very clean. The new proprieter has a first rate vision for The Craven Arms and is working hard to achieve it. He has recruited an excellent team of people to achieve this. I would be very happy to recommend The Craven Arms.
It would have been nice to have a welcome pack in the room to view menu etc but I think this is in hand. Our room was quite small but we booked very last minute and it was the only room available. However, it wasn't TOO small and was very clean and comfy. We were worried about traffic noise when we first arrived but honestly, by night time it did not disturb us at all and we live in a remote location.
The hospitality, beautiful location, the breakfast which was excellent and the room
The creaky floor upstairs which is no good when there are insomniacs above you
Best breakfast ever in a B&B in the UK. Staff very kind to accomodate our needs despite late check-in. Very good for position as well.
The room was lovely, staff were great. Food was unbelievable.
We loved the staff they couldn't of been more welcoming. The food was lovely and the grounds we're just as good.
Everything seemed to be very pricy. The room wasn't very clean, it had spider webs on the light, it had hair in the toilet. And the bed was broken. We had room 6.
food in restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice.
The excellent food and the helpfulness of the staff.
Traffic noise and noisy neighbours. A folder in the rooms with bus & train times would help.
Nice food, clean room and peaceful place with good sized car park. Friendly staff and well situated for the dales.
Accommodation was a bit small for a family room, but it was ok for a one-night stopover.
