Excellent location to explore the region, to walk in the nature. Very helpful staff. Good food in the restaurant. Wonderful breakfast!
Everything, the room, staff, food, atmosphere. A place were you could totally relax. Will be back, sorry we could only spend one night.
The stairs could be an issue for some people but we found that to be part of the character of the building.
Lovely place lovely people lovely food, hope to visit again.
Location - across the road from the loch. Big, old rambling hotel Free parking Free wifi
Old and rambling... (a plus and a minus, the balance depends on you)
Restaurant and Bistro both excellent and boos value.
Wi-fi not in bedroom
It was in a lovely location, right on the loch side, excellent service, room was comfortable and the food at the restaurant was amazing
beautiful views from room 6 great food
The hotel is wonderful, the people were very kind. Even if there were no buses in Strachur on Sunday they gave us a lift so that we could get to the next village were we could catch one. It is a peaceful place with a perfect location to get some rest. The landscape from the windows is amazing
There are not any buses on Sunday, so you need to rent a car to get around.
Excellent food Beautiful location and views Generally excellent service
Felt rushed with breakfast on the first morning because the waitress was rushing, but service for all other meals was excellent
Location was fantastic but for the very busy road immediately outside which was used by heavy logging trucks as well as being the main route to the Isle of Bute. The restaurant was well furnished and the menu had an interesting and varied selection. The wine list was good albeit a bit over-priced and the two house whites we tried were rather average and the house red was better. Excellent well-kept draught beers. The rooms were large, comfortable and well furnished with stunning views over Loch Fyne with some great sunsets.
The staff were lovely. Breakfast was nice
The first room we booked was the garden room as we had planned a special night together this room was tiny smelling of dampness and not very clean this was £120 per night the staff offered to up us for the same price to the nxt best room which should be £160 a night for the same price this wasn't any better we ended up paying for the delux room £180 this was far better than the other two but still not worth £180. The bar was small and not very clean stains all over seats. Deff would never go back
Lovely cosy inn with great food
Great location ,good staff,lovely hotel
Very friendly and welcoming staff. The views of Loch Fyne are picture perfect. Our room was exceptionally well decorated and immaculately clean. We ate dinner twice and we had breakfast both days and our meals were really lovely.
Location is stunning, food is excellent
No shade in front garden. A bit near main road
Lovely country hotel with great food.
Needs more parking spaces.
Extreamly good hotel with friendly staff and great location. The evening meal was excellent too.
Large comfortable room with loch views. Large bathroom with both bath and separate shower. Good evening meal. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Enthusiastic service.
Nothing really but slightly over priced.
rustikal charm, and plesant atmosphere
Lovely location, great staff, superb food. Tables outside overlooking the loch are great for a pint in the late afternoon. Artwork in the restaurant and lounge was an added bonus.
Loch view also means highway view, but it was worth it.
Perfect start(day 2) to our holiday touring Scotland. Hector was an extra bonus.
We enjoyed the whole experience of staying in a traditional hotel with excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and pleasant staff making sure we were happy with everything.
Cannot think of any one thing.

No complaints whatsoever!
Scenery, quiet. Relaxing, peacefulness. Views. Food, service, staff, room size
No local amenities within walking distance. Double bed was actually 2 twins and blankets were a little dusty
