The Crescent Guest House  

The room was very clean, and the dtaff made sure that we always had fresh tea fixings in our room. The towels were huge and very soft, and the shower was quite nice.

Our only complaint was that our room was quite cold. There was no way for us to turn the heat up, and we spent many a morning rushing to get our warm layers on.

a cooked breakfast was offered although there was no stipulation that no pork products would be served i.e. sausages and bacon this would not of been a problem if it had been specified

The garden was nice and the décor was fine. It was close (walking distance) to the city.

I wouldn't go back there ! me and my partner are very easy going people but we have never felt so unconformable ! we felt like we were intruding in a family home, we were the only guest's there ? the lady said to us " you were very late back last night" over breakfast ! uumm 10pm that is not late and we were very quiet! I think that they use the hotel rooms for the family when they are not in use cos I could here people in some of the rooms late at night and we were the only guests. The breakfast omg £8.00 each for a full English, and got toast, beans, egg and coffee ? they said there was a free transfer from the city but we got charged £5.00 ? no wi fi only in there room ! a £20.00 deposit for the remote for the tv and once u pay/book breakfast u can not cancel it or you will still have to pay! And to top it all off we were in room 6 there was item's of old guest's under the bed ! and we got bit my fiancée 6 times and me 5 times bed bugs ! I would not go back or recommend ever !

Molte cose non mi sono proprio piacute anzi andrebbero evitate da un albergo che si rispetti. Sono rimasto molto deluso e qui di seguito ne espongo le ragioni in un sintetico elenco: - un cattivo odore di cucinato speziato ha invaso la camera in piena notte; il contenitore del sapone era semivuoto e non è stato rabboccato; - pur non avendo avuto la possibilità di comunicare l'orario del mio arrivo, giungo a questa guests house (che, in realtà, è una pensione di infimo valore) alle ore 17.45 cioè in pieno orario di servizio, eppure non c'era nessuno alla reception ad attendermi e, dopo aver telefonato 3 volte al numero indicato alla porta, i gestori mi hanno fatto attendere oltre un'ora prima di accogliermi per il check-in e ciò nonostante mi avessero già addebitato la metà dell'importo dovuto per il soggiorno; - non è stato fornito nè lo shampoo nè il consueto set di cortesia; - non mi hanno rilasciato la ricevuta e, dopo la mia insistente richiesta, mi è stato detto che me l'avrebbero recapitata via e-mail (ma ad oggi non ho ricevuto nulla); - letto stretto, stanze e bagno molto angusti, ma questo è il minore dei difetti; -costo del soggiorno assolutamente esagerato per i servizi offerti e per la lontananza dal centro di Edimburgo. Tornerò a Edimburgo (molto carina) e in Scozia (bellissima), ma non tornerò mia più in questo presunto albergo che sconsiglio vivamente a chiunque voglia godere di un soggiorno gradevole e non voglia sentirsi derubato del denaro speso per soggiornare.

Personale molto maleducato e arrogante. Informazioni su come raggiungere l'hotel in bus completamente errate. Nessuna facilitazione per persone con problemi motori, camera fredda e di odore alquanto sgradevole. Il prezzo era decisamente elevato per quello che offrivano e sopratutto non ho mai avuto a che fare con gente tanto sgradevole e maleducata! Non lo consiglierei a nessuno!

In hun omschrijving stond, dat we vervoer konden regelen van en naar station cq vliegveld. Bij aankomst hebben we hier geen gebruik van gemaakt, dit werd beloont met 30,- pond boete, daar wij ons tijdstip van aankomst niet hadden aangemeld. Bij vertrek vertrokken we op tijd, maar de 25,- pond waren echt buiten proportie.

Schön eingerichtetes Zimmer, sehr gute Betten, sehr ruhige Lage, gute Anbindung an Busnetz; Wahl zwischen English und variantenreichem Continental Breakfast (cereals, Obst, Joghurt, Marmelade), sehr freundliche Landlady
