Everything. Got A Wonderful Welcome, Whole Of Guest House & Room Warm, Very Clean & Exceptionally Cosy. Room 1 With Four Poster Bed Was Amazing. So Comfortable We Overslept & Missed Our Breakfast. LOL! :-) x Very Quiet Location Which Was A Huge Bonus. We Will Be Back Soon.
Our hosts Michael and Joyce were very friendly and approachable. Excellent local knowledge. Room was very clean and comfortable. Had very good choice for breakfast in the morning yogurt, cereal, tea coffee etc. The cooked breakfast was lovely and the smoked haddock was cooked to perfection by Joyce. The whole house is very tastefully decorated. If me and my mum are ever in Ayr again we will be back.
Only gripe was that wifi did not reach the room we had to sit in the lounge. But with the cosy fire it was very inviting so no real problem.
Great place to stay, really pleased with our choice. Room was excellent
I had a very nice stay. Joyce and michael were very warm and welcomimg. The room was also very nice with great facilities. The Breakfast was delicious.
Hospitality was excellent, made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Great breakfast.
Beautiful house .Our room very comfortable-and nicely decorated.the breakfasts were lovely and well cooked. The hosts were charming and friendly.
The street parking was sometimes up to 100 metres way. I found the whole house was too hot but better than too cold.
Large room, good bed, lovely decor Clean, convenient Helpful hosts
Great hosts, very friendly room was cosy and very clean, breakfast was fabulous we both had full Scottish breakfast it was cooked to perfection! Would definetly stay again! :-)
I liked everything about my stay.It was only overnight but the service was 1st. class.I even had help to park my car.
It is street parking and it could be awkward.!!!
Michael made excellent restaurant recommendations as well as taking care of our reservations. Lovely home, great food, very comfortable and we were made very welcome.
Michael and Joyce were great hosts The breakfast was superb Spotlessly clean Comfortable bed Quite cosy lounge Quiet convenient location
Nothing to note
The whole place is great, the food is amazing as well and, Michael and Joyce are such lovely hosts. They're a nice couple; good people to talk to. My boyfriend and I had a marvelous time there.
Breakfasts were excellent
Shower room was a bit small
Warm welcome by Michael and Cindy, tips for walking, nice room with good beds, delicious Scottish breakfast
Nothing, everything was good.
Joyce and Michael are great hosts, they are warm, welcoming and helpful. Their ideally located B&B is spotless and very comfortable. Their breakfasts are excellent and generous. We've stayed here before and will certainly be back again.
Friendly hosts, very helpful!
I liked the location, great breakfasts and kind hospitality of Michael and Joyce. The B&B was very close to the train station and we easily walked the few blocks even with bags which was our choice.
The wifi was a little bit touchy depending on where one was located in the room. It was a minor inconvenience that we accepted.
Michael and Joyce run what is possibly the loveliest B&B in Scotland. I heartily recommend.
Wifi didn't quite reach to our room, but the living room downstairs was so inviting this was hardly a problem.
Very friendly hosts, high quality breakfast, comfortable room with thoughtful amenities. Easily reached on foot from the main station in Ayr.
The friendly welcome. The decor.
The water pressure in the shower. The ill fitting door to the minute bathroom.
We received a friendly greeting from Michael and Joyce; they have a beautiful house in a quiet residential street near the town centre. Our luxurious bedroom had thoughtful touches - you could relax completely and know that all was well. Michael recommended an excellent restaurant which was a 10 minute stroll away. Breakfast was fruit and cereals followed by a choice of cooked food. The full Scottish breakfast was tasty and not greasy. The fish and poached egg was delicious. Nice touches of white linen, Portmerion stoneware and silver cutlery. All in all, well spent money in terms of quality and service. Thankyou.
On street parking might be difficult at some times of year, although we were able to park close by to unload.
Location Lovely owners Comfortable rooms Excellent breakfast
No shower in en suite
Michael and Joyce were perfect hosts. They welcomed us into their lovely home. The bed was so comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Michael recommended the Beresford Bistro for dinner on our first night which was incredible and well worth a visit. It was that attention to detail which really made our short break memorable. My husband really enjoyed the complimentary wee dram at the end of a very busy 2 days at the Commonwealth Games. Thank you so much.
There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like. We had spent 6 nights in Oban with a room with a roll top bath and were really looking forward to a shower but we did have a giggle when we were shown our bathroom with no shower. This was absolutely fine and the shower attachment on the bath was brilliant and did the job.
Everything - very friendly, personal welcome, food, cleanliness, comfort, quiet yet convenient location.
Very welcoming comfortable owners very helpful.
No shower in room.
