The 2 days we spent in Ilkley for my birthday were amazing. The hotel was perfect. A warm welcome, great bedroom with a huge super cozy bed, crisp white bed sheets and pillows so soft. Spotless bathroom with lots of towels. Plenty of storage for clothes and shoes. Breakfast was in the attached restaurant and offered everything from fruit, cereals & a full english. I would also recommend the pub which is attached to the hotel. The food & drink on offer was perfect after a long day walking & sight seeing. This hotel was perfectly situated in order for us to walk along the River Wharfe and a must see the "Cow & Calf" rocks about a mile walk from the hotel. The views were amazing. I would also recommend a drink & a bite to eat at the Cow & Calf pub. If your thinking of visiting a town that hosted the Tour de France then i would highly recommend Ilkley & the Crescent Hotel. Thank you for a wonderful and memoriable stay.
Monday Bistro menu with carafe of wine per person Large comfortable bed Good shower, clean bathroom Excellent Staff
No residents' seating area (nowhere to go - since bar and restaurant are always full) Also single seat in bedroom is not very comfortable No lift (not good for people with certain types of health problems) No car park (bridge repair made roadside parking difficult to find) Bin men and window cleaner noisy early some mornings
Big bathroom with all facilities, nicely decorated and very comfortable bed. Plenty of space. Excellent dinner in the Bistro and breakfast was equally good. Lots of atmosphere - upbeat, busy, very good service and lovely food.
No full length mirror in bedroom, only face mirrors which was a problem as we were going to a wedding and wanted to check appearance. Top of dresser very marked so not very pleasant. Bit noisy - pub below and Boots delivery opposite at 4.00am.
Staff were very helpful and the room very clean, TV remote not working but otherwise very nice .
Breakfast was disappointing. It would be nice to have a pot if coffee and not have to ask for another cup , also no juice etc? Maybe I just prefer buffet style with a cooked choice as well.
Overall splendid food friendly staff nice atmosphere centrall location.
Nowhere quiet to sit and have converstion.
This is a nice hotel in an interesting, unusual building. The room was nicely decorated and the breakfast was excellent.
Because of the crescent shape of the building the back rooms are on the small side.
location, french restaurant inside hotel, bar
hand rail in bath/shower not there
Ilkley's a great town and a The Crescent is at it's heart. Our room was bright, comfortable and fully equipped. Dinner was outstanding. The food was of excellent quality and was prepared with imagination and consummate skill. It's a real treat to stay at The Cresent.
noise from the street but not the fault of the hotel.
Lovely room and nicely presented food makes this a lovely location to stay both for business and pleasure.
Room was a bit noisy this stay but only for a short while.
Great location, friendly staff, good variety on all menus, fab food, and a good selection of real ales.
My only complaint was the noise from the night club next door.
Room location breakfast facilities
Door banging in corridor
Walls a bit thin so the all night vomiting from the next room wasn't conducive to the best nights sleep. More of a guest problem than a hotel one.
getting out of bed
although the room I was in was not as expected (upgrade) it was a lovely room with a large comfortable bed and good quality finishing touches.
i was asked if i would like an upgrade to a larger room. My original room was 95 sq ft and my upgrade would be to room 150 sq foot. Agreed and paid £10 more. however the room was not this size at all. on speaking to management at the hotel i was informed that they have rooms of this size but they were all booked. Therefore booking.com should not have offered me an upgrade - £10 extra paid but not upgraded as they specified. Still had to pay the upgrade price of £90
Good location ,excellent food and staff and rooms
The room was lovely and all the staff so welcoming, friendly and exceptionally helpful. Went for the Tour de France and our room overlooked the route so it was perfect. Never been to Ilkley before but will definitely return.
The room was so comfortable but just a little too warm for a really good night's sleep
Friendly staff who were very courteous.
Lack of air conditioning as the rooms were very hot.
Position in Ilkley--very central. good facilities in the room---tea bags and water replenished efficiently. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The easy option to eat on site at the Bistro.
The only disappointment was no parking on site.
food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meals. beds comfy. decor good.
restaurant service was very slow. bedrooms quite small and couldn't fully open window.
Room was ok Some staff were helpful
It's jut not a 4 str property No competition in area Limited food options It's more of a pub than a hotel
Staff and location brilliant.
Cost of £200 per night for small room with average facilities works out very expensive.
Near to shops, restaurants and rail station; good selection of food and wine at the Bistro; Nice pub downstairs; friendly efficient staff, fairly quiet room.
Wi-Fi never worked I had to carry my HEAVY suite case upstairs (no elevator)
Comfortable bed. Modern furnishings and fittings in bedroom and bathroom. Excellent double glazing meant that rooms were quiet. Friendly staff. Wonderful full English breakfast. Location in centre of Ilkley.
Lack of car parking space at hotel. Had to use public car park.
