Bang in the middle of town and great for shopping, plus good position for sightseeing. The Hotel also has a lift and a well stocked bar.
Parking could be a problem, plus the room I had I was only able to open one window.
Large room. Great food. Friendly staff.location great
Friendly service - nothing too much trouble - good quality breakfast - overall very pleasant hand helpful staff - especially when it came to organising parking permit! Very important.
Nothing. Everyone was so helpful and friendly - both myself and my colleague will be staying there again next year.
Staff all very friendly and made an effort to make us welcome Quality and presentation of the food was excellent - we were not used to such big portions tho! Room good size and light
Parking is an issue in high season with no dedicated hotel car parking Perhaps the mattress could do with "updating"
Everything about it was fab.
The ladies at reception and serving breakfast were pleasant.
The man at reception was boorish and unhelpful. He greeted my wife with a sexist comment and tried to communicate in inaudible grunts. He was computer illiterate and got in a temper working out our bill, seeming to blame us and not bothering with the simple courtesy of saying goodbye.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, with a good choice available. The rooms had everything you could need & the beds were very comfortable. I believe this to be family run hotel and as such would definitely return.
the bathroom (room 11) was quite noisy, it was like a loud buzzing sound as though the people in the room below had left on the extractor. this lasted for the entirety of our stay, we kept the bathroom door closed to minimize the disturbance.
The location very convenient for shopping . Walking distance to the beach. Friendly staff.
The hotel doesn't have a car park but if you are lucky you can park nearby on a meter .
Clean and friendly
Decor a bit dated
Breakfasts - good and plenty of it.
Bed a bit harder than ours at home.
Excellent friendly atmosphere, nothing too much bother. Also personal requests for meals catered for. You want a fresh Lobster?. Then you get a fresh lobster and not overcharged for it either.
Proximity of roundabout, a bit noisy at night.
Large spacious bedrooms. Very nice not having to sleep on a hard bed!! So many Hotels have hard, horribly uncomfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, and the ladies in the restaurant were most helpful and friendly. If we were in Scarborough again we would definitely stay at The Crescent Hotel again.
Although free, the Wi-Fi was slow and very unresponsive at times. The wireless router needs updating/replacing.
Nothing to complain
We enjoyed everything, breakfast was really nice. Nicely cooked, all the staff were very friendly. Would go back to this hotel anytime, me and my husband were very happy with our stay. Room was lovely couldn't fault anything and we had a great view.
Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Rooms were of a decent size & well equipped. Breakfast was excellent & all the staff were friendly & helpful
The weather was hot so a fan in the room would have been helpful.
No negatives, it was just what I wanted.
We loved the large clean spacious room, friendly staff, fantastic evening meal.
Parking was a little tricky
The splendid location with a green open space out front, and the view to the sea, and its handiness for the railway-station. All staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. Nearby Cafe Fish was a real bonus!
Nothing was a bother for the staff from check-in to check-out. The free upgrade to the Londesborough room was a really nice gesture, and put the icing on our stay. Although we did not eat in the evening, the breakfasts were first class with plenty of choice offered. The food was hot and tasty and did not appear to have been cooked earlier and then kept warm for when it was needed. All in all a really good break at a really nice and friendly hotel.
Beware the Traffic Wardens here - they hunt in packs - but we were safe as we managed to park outside with the assistance of the hotel's pre payment tickets. Please do not be tempted to eat at the nearby Brewers Fayre. For a seaside town they served us the most disgusting fish and chips ever.
The location. The general feel of the place it is very clean. The breakfast was lovely, really you could not fault it.
Nothing really, I suppose the parking outside in the Crescent but to be fair that is nothing to do with the hotel. But be aware everytime we went outside there seemed to be parking wardens.
Very clean and comfortable, and we too were upgraded free of charge. Friendly and very helpful staff, Just a pleasant place to stay!
Nice to have a friendly chat to Lindsay or Paul, they are a busy couple but always have time for the Guests, Sue & Gordon.
Pauls Harley is bigger than mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
