Meal simply delicious.
Fab location really friendly staff.
Service, personal touch, feel and location
All the staff were excellent from the moment we arrived until we left. My sister had her wedding reception at the venue and the guests stayed at the venue for two nights. The food was great and the staff were very accomadating and patient, especially with the young children. Would reccomend.
Stayed here the night before my wedding with friends, was also my best mans 30th bday. We had a great night, great food, friendly polite staff, nice beer garden and lovely surroundings. Will definitely return.
View from bedroom window onto local cricket green
You had to drive to the local convenience store
Rooms were large and spacious, very helpful staff, spotlessly clean
Lack of choice for vegetarians for breakfase
Comfortable, quiet and homely.
Food was great, Room was great will definitely stay here again in the future
Excellent ambience and food.....
The Bedroom was very nice and bathroom a bit grubby(mould)had a great sleep... Nice
The food in the restaurant was over priced.. £7 for a few small prawns with heads on and tasteless.. The Meat pie was quite bland and the pastry was about 3mm thick and look awful and at £12.50 was overpriced complained about prawns but they never took it off the bill.. Very disappointed
Wonderful location, great room and food
the restaurant was not really exceptionnal
Staff were very friendly and room 2 had a comfy bed. Food was fabulous and would recommend Gammon ham starter. Breakfast was very nice and was given choice of how egg was cooked.
Room was hot and although windows could be opened we didn't as room was on ground floor and windows next to main path way. Found a few dead flies near extract in shower cubicle.
The room was very comfortable indeed, & the staff were very helpful and efficient. It is dog friendly, and has a beautiful village green opposite. There was a very good choice of breakfasts, which are properly cooked, as is the food in the evening, which we really enjoyed.
There is nothing to dislike.
Room was very clean and modern as was bar and restaurant, setting by cricket ground was nice.
Restaurant was exspensive
Location was very good and had a peaceful night, unlike another guests who was next to the cellar chillers.
The toilet was still soiled from a previous guest, there are mold marks in the grouting and base of the tiles. I reported the soiling to the girl who had been on duty the night before and left my phone number for someone to contact me. She offered her boss and then said that the owners where coming in that day and she would speak to them about it. Unfortunately nobody has contacted me. For £89 per night it was not good value and not to the standard I would expect from a facility charging that amount of money.
Peaceful location. Beautifully quiet at night. Lovely room - very spacious. Bathroom clean and modern with nice array of toiletries. Very comfortable bed with lovely soft pillows. Excellent breakfast. Safe parking.
Nothing. If I was being very picky we waited quite a while to place our order in the restaurant and to get our food - but it was delicious so worth the wait.
The location suited us because it was close to the wedding we were attending. Bedroom was not special but perfectly good. Lovely setting on the village green. Good breakfast with attentive staff.
There was one light of four in the bathroom without a working bulb which we feel should have been sorted before we got there. It was the one over the mirror which caused make-up difficulties! Expensive for a country pub at £99 b&b.
Only stayed one night so didn't really get a feel of the place as we went to a wedding reception some where else.
No bath in room!!!
The Suite was a really nice bright room; the outside space was great, overlooking the cricket green; breakfast was good
The standard room was small and dark
Very comfortable and great food!
I had the same room as last time but it was called a family room that time and this time it was a junior suite, and cost me more! The junior suite I usually stay in is much bigger. The shower is very tiny and difficult to move.
Food was excellent.
Overall cleanliness needs to be of a better standard. Deco in the rooms needs upgrading.
Very clean & friendly. Good breakfast.
Room was very spacious and I had a comfortable bed, staff were very helpful and hard working, couldn't do enough for you
No complaints. I will be back
