Surrounded by beautiful Gwent countryside, the Olway Inn overlooks a pretty trout stream, and is a 10-minute walk from central Usk. The inn features a traditional restaurant and leafy beer garden.

Good beer Friendly bar
Not a very good breakfast, sasages tasted cheap. No food on due to the rugby
Friendly service and a real pub atmosphere. Excellent breakfast.
Breakfast was absolutely first class.
Our room was above the bar and therefore until closing time it was slightly noisier than if in a hotel but this would not put us off staying again.
Great location, looks like a good locals pub. The bar looked cozy. Being able to opt out of paying for breakfast worked for us. The girl in the bar who welcomed us was very nice and pleasant.
People in the bar until 2am then heavy footed people upstairs at 8am - one would be understandable, but both was a little trying. The free wifi was The Cloud. The shower head had black mould on the rubber.
Staff friendly & room ,& end suite very clean
just the kind of place that you will love if you like very "olde" world pub type accommodation. (no plastic here) My room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Excellent beer and food with great land lord and his family. I will definitely stay again when I am down that way.
Nothing. This place is exactly what I was looking for.
Bags of charm.Beams original features but very comfortable..Great breakfast
En suit is small.
Very casual, comfortable and reasonably quiet.
Room a little on the small side but you get what you pay for. I would prefer to pay a little more for a larger room.
Good Welcome good food, pleasant atmosphere
Easy access, free parking on site. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Comfortable bed and reasonable size room.
Room too hot but fan provided. No evening meals at the weekend. Rather noisy at night.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent
Mobile signal/wifi not very good
Best cooked breakfast for a long time. Very convenient location for visiting the many local visitor attractions. Good value
The location of the Inn was central to and ideal in meeting our needs for a two day break. Not too far to venture out to see many sites. The staff were very attentive and the food great. It became apparent that the Inn is very popular with the locals giving a feeling of community spirit. The river Usk is only a short walk away and a good place to relax and watch crystal clear waters passing by. The town itself is laid back and has a few quirky and interesting shops. My wife has to use a mobility scooter and we found no trouble in getting around the town. After travelling out and about, a very good place to return and relax with everything at your doorstep.
Wonderful atmosphere in the bar Great breakfast Good size room (#3) Location in the heart of the village
Poor sound isolation
Value for money; extremely friendly and helpful staff and owners, and also amusing, interesting and friendly locals ready to oblige with information and help. The breakfast could fuel the most energetic for a day.
Helpful, friendly, generous staff. Good location. Good choice for breakfast.
Cleanliness & maintenance of the property interior was poor (rooms & public areas). While the choices for breakfast were good, the fruits were wrinkled or going bad.
We stayed in Room 1. It was very clean, not a speck of dirt or dust to be seen. All the staff we met were very friendly, as were the locals. We didn't stay for breakfast but wished we had as other people eating when we checked out and they had an amazing selection of cereals and fruits for breakfast and the "fry up" had our mouths watering. Lovely selection of teas and coffees in room and very plentiful.
The room was small (but perfectly formed!) and very hot. We had to keep the window open all night. They did supply a fan but there was nowhere near the window to plug this in to circulate the air. The only place it could go was on top of the wardrobe which was no use to us lying spaced out on the bed about three foot below! I should imagine the room would however be lovely and cosy in the winter.
breakfast,staff,carparking and location
room was a bit small,no shaving point
Friendly inn-keeper. Comfortable double bed. Small room but good value for money. Very central in Usk main street. Has included on-site parking.
Very small double room, however good value for money & comfortable bed. No Pets.
The town of Usk is overwhelming with it's history and beauty. It was a privileged to stay in a hotel steeped in the past with a resident ghost! Our hosts went out of their way to ensure our stay was most enjoyable. Next time we visit we shall stay longer.
friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff
Interesting old place, good food, lovely village.
That breakfast was only until 8.30
Excellent breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. Very handy for town and easy parking on site. Also interested in the history of the Inn.
It was a little noisy, but only to be expected, because it was an inn, so certainly not a big problem or a complaint.
Good value. Friendly and helpful staff.
