Breakfast was nice.
Room was cold and couldn't turn the heating on in the rooms. Check in was brief and to the point, not overly friendly. Room was out back in converted stable and though clean and comfortable we were unable to see the rest of the main building which was one of the attractions of booking given that it is very old. Just a pub in the evening was a bit off putting. However, great location, plenty of places to eat. Would maybe stay again just for those facts.
Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast.
Bit of a slippery slope to and from the carpark !
Great locational Good value Excellent breakfast Friendly staff
Perhaps an improvement might be to have a longer available 'window' for serving breakfast; however the quality was superb.
Cozy treatment, cooperation & a good location.
Furniture is a bit old, yet it doesn't ruin you stay.
My stay was comfortable and I felt at ease
Friday night noise from the street (not the fault of the hotel)
Location for Tatton Park good.
Very noisy outside at front of pub where tables are so got little sleep before 1am. Breakfast window of 1 hour and late start at weekends not helpful. Spider that drowned in my soap dish day 1 was still there on day 4 after cleaning?
Stayed here a couple of times now and would definitely stay again...great staff (very friendly) and the breakfast is always superb.
Excellent Breakfast. Large Bedroom. Friendly Staff.
The venue was very convenient for central knutsford and wedding venue.
The room was in a poor state of repair especially the bathroom. There was no hot water. The staff were unhelpful and distinctly lacking in any sort of personality save for the guy in the restaurant painting the walls and the maid still cleaning in our room when we had been told it was ready. When informed that there was no hot water, a fact we only discovered shortly before needing to leave and checking out there was no apology and indeed we were told that we 'should have called' so something could be done. My response to that was 'you should have running water when charging £90 for a poorly appointed room for a night'. The evening receptionist told is that the charge for the room would be £79 as we were not having breakfast but the morning receptionist charged is £89 regardless. This is definitely a no-no hotel and this is the first time I've ever been inclined to write a review I was that disappointed.
The hotel was clean, the staff polite and friendly and would definately use this hotel again
Location is excellent Breakfast is good.
Used old socks behind the sofa in our room The constant noise from the airport traffic.
Quite place in a quite small village... what was I looking for... not so far from airport ( 20 minutes)
Through navigator not easy to find
Shower was a little to cool for me
Although there was no-one on reception when we arrived, when we did encounter the staff they were very polite and accomodating. Our stay was pleasant but the price for our room was definitely not value for money.
Unfortunately, our room had a shower that was broken. You had to literally hug the tiles in order to get underneath it. The lights constantly flickered and there were strange marks on the ceilings that made in feel dirty. The rooms were quite dated When we arrived in the restaurant for breakfast our milk was off, and although the milk was replaced the cup wasn't.
Room was very quiet at the back in a small courtyard. Breakfast was lovely
Unfortunately it was right in the flight path for Manchester airport. Can't be helped due to the location, but you do get a lot of noise
Fantastic location in centre of beautiful town of Knutsford with plenty of good restaurants in very short walking distance. Old building with lots of character but rooms modern, airy and well equipped. A real gem.
Good location, large room, good breakfast.
Room needed some refurbishment - looked a bit shabby. Lukewarm shower, Expensive.
A Nice old fashioned place including a very famous PUB ! Friendly Stuff !
Rooms very old, especially bathroom could get a new spirit !
Loved the location and the staff were very friendly and really helpful. Very quaint.
polite staff very helpful will recomend to my friends
cost of the room was a bit high
Friendly welcome. Parking at rear in town centre location access from Princess Street) down track right next to church (first left turn after the Church View turning). Can come as go as you please as entrance to most rooms are outside.
Reception locked up over night and not open until 7am. Recommend that you pay the bill the night before if an early start is required.
inexpensive. good location. great breakfast
car park really hard to find. room adequate.
Central location, great breakfast, very friendly staff and comfortable room
Despite several attempts the wifi codes I was given didn't work.
