The managment was really guest friendly. Most of the stuff including check in desk, bar, maintenance were really nice to deal with and always willing to accomodate you better.
Wi-Fi browsing was very poor, Internet was not working properly. I checked in for 5 nights and left the hotel after I lived there for a night because of non satisfaction, they charged me 3 nights while checking out after i lived for one night only
I liked the cleanliness, the staff and location. On the whole a positive experience but just 6/10
However first night a mouse was eating my bread in a carrier woke up at 02.30 and saw it!! No kitchen/Utensils a very small sitting area in bar for residents and with the whole object of backpacking restricted budget paying the pubs food/bar prices you would not have a lot of money left even with discount 10pc taken off
I have been to this hostal before and am please to say that the facilities have impproved. Its clean tidy and value for money with in my op inion the best wifi in any hostal i have visited.
Area for eating a bit small and its a shame there in no kitchin facility.
Staff were friendly. It's a quiet hostel. Above a nice pub
Most of toilets were out of order or no lights in them. Fire alarm used to go off constantly, even in the middle of the night. Constant issues such as loss of electricity for a day or 2, or wifi not working.
Clean linen Cost Effective Accomodation
No water pressure No Lights in the bathrooms No Shelving No place to work inside your luggage French staff are rude unaccommodating & unhelpful Your menu and bar is outrageously expensive No directions as to how to get there via public transport
It was similar to many other hostels I've stayed in, but for half the price. Its no resort, but I was pleasantly surprised at what I got for the price.
One of my two nights there, the fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning. Also, the staff could have been a bit more friendly.
A good position. Staff is always kind. The Crown pub is also a nice place where you can spend your time.
Sometimes there is a bad smell in the toilets.
location -good transport links, Friendly helpful staff
Food expensive no facilities to make a coffee or microwave
very nice common area, with cool furniture and decoration. Cool place to hangout, thus it is not one of those a hostel that you only go there to sleep. Breakfast is the standard, showers and bathrooms are good.
Small bedrooms, if everyone were up inside the bedroom, probably only half of the people would fit, can you imagine the smell in the morning?
Great neighbourhood. Has everything you need.
Takes a bus and underground to get into the city. Bring your own towel. No fridge if you bring you own food. Staff seems disinterested.
Location. The fact that the hostel is on top of a pub - Result! Staff were very friendly
The room was a little warm but apart from that, no complaints.
The breakfast was modest, but very good. The rooms were cleaned every day. A really nice experience in total.
Wifi and location
The staff is good! The people staying was friendly Nice facilites Clean All and all very great
The showers The water is a bit unstabile
Dirty! smells terrible! Smells like mould and well you can guess the next word I would use. Random people there, it's not a youth hostel at all! A homeless man was in one night. The bathrooms are disgusting, I don't know if they get cleaned at all! A lot of the bathroom areas weren't working. The rooms are hot! And you can't open windows which makes the smell worst and breeds mould. The guests and staff are antisocial. They don't explain anything about London to you. The price keeps people quiet though but I couldn't bare it.
*Good transportation connection *Near shops *Quite clean *Wifi worked fine *Clean beds.
*Located at the main street - lot of traffic noise, when windows open. *Room where I stayed was very hot. No ventilator, no air-conditioner, and therefore windows must be open all the time. And due to this, strong traffic noise 24h. *Too few plugs in the room. People must sit at small corridors when needed to charge their devices. *Very narrow corridor, extremely difficult to move around with large luggage.
Location was excellent. The place was not noisey . Some staff friendly than others.
The beds need privacy curtains. And a fan is needed. Twelve persons in one room needs more ventilation. Rooms need spraying with Lysol.
Gorgeous Ester!! the Hungarian girl
Location, pub, price and size
These hostels employ people who have English as a 2nd or 3rd language. That does NOT help communication and understanding
Proximity to the lovely Battersea park, clean bedclothes, intelligent friendly staff. Very good price for london and useful if needing a cheap place to stay to get to or from work or college.
lack of plug points in the bar area for guests to charge their phones etc in around the bar area.and lack of space apart from dorms and stairwells and small space at back for guests to relax in .at the hostel.
Location was perfect, Lavender Hill is a lively street and the Crown is a nice pub. The good thing was that it was relatively quiet in our bedroom (no outside noises). Bathroom was clean. Staff was really nice and helpful. Nice atmosphere!
The bunk beds were not the best. I was sleeping in a 6-dorm room, and the bunk bed slept three. I slept in the middle bed which meant that every time somebody sleeping below me or above me moved, the bunk bed would shake heavily. Woke me up so many times. The lock on the door did not work at times, even though I made a complaint about that.
Location Atmosphere Free breakfast
Shower wasn't very clean
1.include breakfast 2.the burger and pizza from the bar are really tasty
1.terrible bed 2.no lift
