Score from 35 reviews Very good
the room was good. Staff very friendly
Heating needed to be put on ?
curtains kept on falling water boiler without thermostat!!!
Beds were confortsble
Not open until 3pm - dirty bottom sheet - noise from the pub
Staff were incredibly helpful , early breakfast stored bike etc
Long way from town centre, karaoke but I was warned
The fact it was only a bus ride to Bath and directly by the bus stop was good.
The parking - very limited & not very user friendly. The fact the pub is on a main road - this wasn't advertised & far too noisy. With the bedroom windows shut it was fine but not in the hot weather. No one informed us the kitchen closed at 8pm until it was too late. The bedroom was comfortable but too minimalistic, needed a few bedside tables & lamps by the king size bed & a dressing table of some sort should've been in there.
Ease of check in and out. Helpful friendly staff.
No hairdryer in room
Rooms overlook a very busy road, terrible traffic noise all night with Windows needing to be open in hot weather. Might be better in winter with Windows closed.
No alternative offered for breakfast as we had to leave early for work. No food served in evening on Mondays (was not advised of this until checked in)
Keynsham not a bad little town well equipped with supermarkets and shops.
Traffic noise was terrible, sadly for us it was very hot during our stay so closing the only window was not an option. We did ask about fans for our room, assumed that there were none as the owner did not get back to us. All in all two very uncomfortable nights, especially with the road noise.
Wonderful staff in a great spot a good way along the road to Bath from Bristol. Huge, very comfortable and pleasant room and great breakfast to boot!! Really glad I found this place and can highly recommend it to the more budget aware traveller :)
Friendly Staff - comfortable room
No long mirror or hairdryer
The room was large, we had 3 single beds and a tv which was all that we needed. The breakfast the following morning was lovely.
The staff gave us the wrong information about breakfast the following morning so we were waiting an hour before anyone arrived. The bathroom was extremely basic and a little bit grotty. It was fine for 1 night but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. Although the room was mainly tidy, there was an empty cider bottle by the fireplace and dust everywhere. This suggested to me that the room wasn't really cleaned, it was just tidied up in a rush.
Easy check in, friendly staff, good breakfast and I like that they email you if they have entertainment so you are not surprised when you arrive. Our room was clean and tidy. Despite one downside to the accomadtion I will be returning and I recommend staying here.
The only down side in the room was the shower cubicle although you can see it has been cleaned it is very dated and they have had a problem condensation running down the walls and the base of the cubicle is dirty on the outside.
Helpful, friendly staff. Beds clean and comfortable. Choice of books to read, Big, soft towels, plenty of tea bags etc. Good value.
Bit difficult to move around in en-suite bathroom.
Excellent full english breakfast included. Free parking. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Near the historical roman city of Bath and New Forest National Park.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food both for breakfast and evening meal very good. Clean and comfortable bedroom
Rather awkward steep staircase to bedrooms. Bar area needs a facelift but did not affect quality of bedroom, food or overall service
staff were very helpful, I left my hair dryer behind at home and the bar maid offered to lend me hers. It certainly got me out of a hole. Breakfast was good and there was a good choice.
my only observation is that the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
The room was clean, beds comfortable, and provided a good night's sleep. We chose a continental breakfast, but a hot meal could have been provided. Pub and inn on the outskirts of town, but right on the bus route from Bath to Bristow.
Got locked in our room and had to use our cell to call down and have someone let us out. It would have been good to explain the lock to us upon arrival. We were warned a private party would be going on that night with karaoke, but not that the grill would be closed. We were left to hike into town to find a place to have dinner. Most places were closed, but we did find a take-away fish & chips place.
Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Bar staff very welcoming and helpful.
Disturbed by traffic noise as we were allocated a room at the front of the hotel. Chef not working the night we arrived so had to go elsewhere for our evening meal after a long journey. Breakfast was served without being asked if we had any particular requests.
Friendly staff and good evening meal and breakfast. Great location for visiting Bath/Bristol universities and much less expensive than places nearer the city.
Minor points, Shower not very powerful and one of the beds in our twin was really squeaky ... Not great when sharing with fidgety daughter!!! It was a warm night and would have been nice to open the window but the road was a bit too noisy to do so.
nice bedroom with comfortable beds, pleasant décor and tea and coffee facilities.
bathroom appeared to be an ongoing project. Clean but lots of work not finished
friendly family run b&b. lovely building. nice decor. nice little touches. books.
room bit chilly
Rooms were comfortable, clean and pleasant, the staff welcoming , friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were large and tasty, all at a very reasonable price. We'll be back when family celebrations take us back into the area.
