Very good breakfast, good value stay.
The bed was very worn and lumpy, and sleep disturbed by noise above. this was due to people moving around, not their fault just not nature of building.
Excellent Breakfast, Good Sized Comfertable Room.
The quality and presentation of the evening meal in the restaurant was excellent - difficult to fault. The bed linen and towels were clean and without fault.
The bedroom was extremely cramped, the outside wall was wet, the inside wall was wet (due to the en-suite shower cubicle leaking back into the bedroom wall. The miniscule shower cubicle itself was in a disgusting state, not clean together with surface rust on outside of shower tray. Generally totally unacceptable.
The peace comfort and welcome
Good cooked breakfast ,but could have done with fruit to go with cereals
Very uncomfortable bed, Shower could do with a good clean, Carpet needs cleaning, No wifi in the rooms, Staff need customer service training
I didn't remain at this hotel long enough to find anything that I liked. Once I found out that the hotel had absolutely no mobile signal, I rejected the hotel as inadequate and left the premises.
The fact that the hotel had absolutely no mobile signal made it impossible for me to spend the night there. Secondly, the one member of staff that I did encounter (unbelievably the Duty Manager) was no better than an imbecile, trying to pass himself off as a moron.
Staff pleasant. Food good. Room large. Great value
Shower not clean. Wi-fi very patchy.
Room was fine, quiet and comfy. very spacious.
Just found the staff a bit un-interested. The bar menu was limited and most of all they need some more starters on the menu. Wifi is restricted to reception area which is very limiting as there is zero mobile service.
Value for money breakfast comfy bed and nice pub excellent value for a short stay
Shower grouting could do with a clean bulb not working in lamp room had a musty smell
Good value for money Quiet location
I could feel the springs in the mattress The staff (whilst friendly to guests) were complaining about their working conditions when they thought nobody could hear Restaurant food is overpriced
It was a quiet ~Breakfast was good - Good for walks and visiting other villages. We would revisit
nothing stands out that we didn't like
Excellent food, building was full of character. staff friendly and helpful
Excellent beds. Lovely old building.
No Internet at all , not fair to offer it really. Many rooms outside up the steep slope, not in the lovely inn at all . Parking difficult up the steep slope
Tea & coffee in room
Poor wi-fi(not available in room) No phone reception Shower very poor. Breakfast not served till 8.00 no flexibility. Bed uncomfortable
Good location good staff good facilities wouldn't hesitate to book again

Location, the few staff we met were very helpful but the manager seemed unenthusiastic. Quiet room, good car park at rear. Food good.
No soap in bathroom on arrival, and light bulbs not working, shortage of staff. The dreadful furnishings in the room - bedside lights that should be dumped as dust-gatherers (fringes etc, bits broken off), bedside cupboard had handles which fell off when trying to open it! Jazz (sax) music at dinner ok but at breakfast?
the olde worlde charm of the place. Lots of nooks and crannies to relax in or to use the wi-fi availability. Snug bar.Nice restaurant. Fabulous breakfast included in the very reasonable room rate.Helpful staff.
there was nothing to dislike but would not fancy getting in and out of the car park in icy or snow conditions. A bit steep which would also be a bit of a problem if you had mobility problems.
Rooms are beautifully kept to the character of this lovely 15th century building, staff are helpful & polite! Was a pleasure to stay here!
Legacy building within the village. Excellent landscape. Hospitality of sorounding community.
Frequency of public transportation was not sufficient.
Restaurant is souless - eat in the bar!
Beautiful setting and fantastic room.
It felt as though because we were a young group of female guests we were not valued as highly as other guests by some members of staff. That's just the way it appeared.
Friendly helpful staff [several new staff but coping well], loan of a booklet on village history and walking tour to appreciate it.
The welcome, the friendliness, the food (excellent). Just a short walk to the village post office and café which was excellent. The Crown do not do lunches but when we arrived they kindly directed us to the Café and we enjoyed it very much. We also went for afternoon coffee when we were back early from our sight seeing. We would certainly go back there.
Someone parked opposite the opening you have to take up to the reception and parking, which made the turn in very awkward. They never moved the car the whole of the time we were there, even though the Highway Code states not to park opposite a Road End or drive in.
