The evening meal in the pub was lovely. Dirty rooms. First room we were given was not the room we booked. Grimy dirty carpets. No staff. Grimy room. Breakfast not edible. Did not eat it.

Perfect location; in the middle of a stunning little village. Plenty of walking trips around. Good value for money. Room very spacious. No bath in room despite saying there was one. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together. We could hear horrible creaking from above every time the people above walked. The staff were fine but in no way went out of their way to be friendly. Food adequate. But for the price not too bad.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was clean and tidy but could have done with some alternative seating. Good price. Beds were a bit hard and mould on the grouting in the shower needs addressing but all in all, it was fine for what we wanted.

stayed there a few times excellent location in lovely village dissapointed its not what it use dto be the radiator in the main room (no 16)wasnt working proprery the room was freezing when we went in (why dint satff make sure room was heated on arrival) we booked room only for £59 spe offer yet couple times weve had breakfast for this price so dissapointed at the price without brekky so we had cheaper breakfast else where ..the cost £8 for breakfast on top we thought was very steep ..remember theres a recession on and feel crown could do better ..room was abit run down eg curtain pole end missing looks tatty for the star rating ...will we stop there again? not sure ..rates and room will have to improve and perhaps well bring own heating next time as we left with colds ...

We stayed for one night on a Flash Deal. The Receptionist who checked us in was polite and efficient and offfered to have someone take our bags up to the room. General impression of the Hotel is very good, with lots of quirky features that you would expect from a typical 16th Century Inn with uneven floors and beams etc.The room itself (No 14) was clean and tidy and well decorated, the bed was clean and comfortable. There were a few little things which if you were really fussy you might have complained about but nothing that could spoil your stay(if you want perfection go corporate and clinical}. Fabulous little village, great location for exploring the Cotswolds. We would definitely stay there again.

The food was great and reasonably priced. The shower/bathroom was a bit small and could do with new shower fittings.

Very shabby, in need of updating, bathrooms particually, dressing table mirror needed repairs and no information re hotel in room, could also have done with more milks on tea tray! Breakfast was not good either, tasteless and eggs under cooked ! Expensive for standard of hotel.

Ideal location for our particular needs. Receptionist friendly but overworked. Decor overall was tired. Our room (19) needed decorating and furniture upgrading. Bathroom needed upgrading.

Our impression was that the hotel was poorly managed. Staff not trained properly. By arriving at the hotel we were shown to a terrible room with filthy carpet and bathroom light not working properly. We complained proptly and was shown to a bigger and nicer room but noice from room upstairs unbearable. On checkout we had paid the bill and discovered after, that we where overcharged by one night and the staff at the desk did not know how to do refund on the creditcard. We still have not received a confirmation about payback. All and all an experiance not worth it's money.

Location. Numerous small things that weren't right. Uncomfortable bed. Poor lighting in the bedroom Broken light in bathroom. Food not as described in the menu. Untrained waitress, lacking social skills. Breakfast precooked and reheated sausages, bacon, mushrooms very watery..Tomatoe unripe. Generally disapponting. We lived in this area many years ago, and it was one of the best hotels around.

For what I paid, I wasn't expecting much however Crown Inn exceeded my expectations. The room was small but cosy, clean and comfortable. I will go there again and recommend it to my friends. The location was brilliant. Middle of nowhere, lost in the countryside. Very Romantic. I'm one pleased traveller. The only negative, but not enough to make me go somewhere else, was that there was no bath in our room only a shower. But we're not fussy travellers.
