Log Fires, Lovely room, Overpriced food. Peppered sauce with two £18.00 steaks, tasted like it was made from very salty bisto and a few peppercorns, ruined meal. We went down for breakfast at 9.30a.m all full breakfast food had been pre-cooked and and was cold when served. Short staffed. We stayed for two nights, when leaving bill was for one night, had to tell the young lady how long we had stayed. |

They were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was lovely and cosy, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the bar food very good. We would like to go back in the summer to see the Cotswolds then. |

The log fire, roses on every table, friendly locals in the bar and the attractive village.Fabulous menu, brilliant meat but a bit too salty. Can understand others thinking the rooms above the bar could be noisy but fine on a Sunday night in November. |

The room was clean. The breakfast freshly cooked with a good choice on the buffet. The young woman at reception was very pleasant. Our bar meal at lunch time was good. The village of Blockley is very attractive - good walking. The room was small and noisy as it was over the bar. We found the music at breakfast unnecessary and annoying. The gentleman at reception was dressed in a track suit and was a little off hand. Parking is a nightmare but understandable in a small village. |

The bedroom was large & comfortable. The location was ideal for our short break close to various gardens in the area. The staff were rather casual in their approach to us. Restaurant menu a bit expensive, & limited bar menu. |

Quiet village location with excellent restaurant. My only complaint was that I had rang to arrange for flowers in the room for my wife's 50th birthday but they weren't there. I asked at reception when I booked out and did receive an apology and shown that it had been noted to the booking details but somehow the message did not get through or acted upon by "housekeeping"! |

The Crown Inn was everything that the web page depicted, a nice freindly hostelry, situated in the lovely Cotswolds. We took our little dog, Lucy, and it was good to find somewhere which allowed dogs, without any compromise to the cleanliness and compfort of the accomodation. The food in the restaurant was excellent. |

Lovely location. Friendly staff. Bathroom could be better. Very loud party on Saturday night in bar. We should have been told on booking. Car park full and had to park a fair distance away. |

The location was excellent and the breakfast was good. Staff present in the morning were very pleasant. The member of staff at reception on arrival was offhand and unhelpful providing misleading information and no help. |

Historic atmosphere. Large open fires. Position of hotel within the village. Relaxed but efficient way the staff treated you, very friendly. Narrow entrance off a very narrow street to car park |

We liked the quiet location and the hotel service that we received and the informality, also the policy of allowing our dogs into the hotel. |
