Built in 1450 the Bull Hotel is a timber house in the charming East Anglian village of Long Melford. The former Coaching Inn offers en suite rooms and fine food.
Score from 239 reviews Very good
Situated in a small town, this inn provides real ale, good home-cooked food from local suppliers, a fine wine menu and live entertainment on a regular basis.
Score from 215 reviews Good
The Old Rectory, Kettlebaston is located in Lavenham. Free WiFi access is available. There is also an electric kettle. Private bathroom also comes with free toiletries.
Score from 27 reviews Superb
Sleek design is coupled with period charm at the Lavenham Great House in rural Suffolk. This 5-star hotel and restaurant provides stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi and a complimentary decanter of sherry.
Score from 76 reviews Superb
Staff were fantastic, the food was very good and it was just a great atmosphere.
The noise for the traffic on the road.
The bed was very comfortable. The ensuite had a bath and shower. Linen and towels were good quality too. The breakfast was generous and well cooked. I had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was also good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
My room was a bit noisy. It was facing the street so had the normal , to be expected , street noise. The decor was a bit tired but frankly for the money I paid it was fine!
Staff extremely welcoming and helpful.
Bed was rather low to the ground
Friendly staff that could not do enough to help.. Great value for money in a beautiful part of the country.
I have stayed at the Crown on several occasions when on business in this area i don't even look at other places now i have found somewhere great to stay staff, meals, rooms and location spot on cleanliness of rooms second to none.
Very friendly and kindly let us book in early
The breakfast was nice, staff quite friendly and the little pub was good
You could feel every spring in the mattress, the bathroom was carpeted and quite outdated and wasn't overly clean, and one of the staff came in to our room without knocking to take back the iron! For how much we paid I wouldn't recommend it.
Good location. We stayed as a party of 13 for a family wedding nearby. Staff were so friendly and made you feel very welcome.
It was a hot night and a fan would have been useful. I did not ask for one so they may well have had some.
The staff were so helpful and pleasant. Good breakfast.
Could do with a refurb. The noise outside my bedroom window early in the morning.
nothing at all
only three places in the car park, for 24 rooms. slightly scruffy rooms, decor grubby and dated.
We received a pleasant welcome with all questions answered. It was a gorgeous sunny late early evening so had drinks outside before going into the dining room to eat some of the best steaks any of us had in a long time! Breakfast was good and plentiful and all the staff throughout were excellent. Good luck to them all.
My bedroom was a little noisy from morning traffic but it was on the front of the building - but had I shut the window it may not have been a problem! Wouldn't stop me going back again.
Great restaurant and bar food. Nice surroundings and polite attentive staff.
Rooms in courtyard are subject to noise from pub clients (smokers outside) and road.
The size and privacy of the room;the comfort of the bed.The cheerfulness and welcoming nature of the staff.
It would have been pleasant,in the hot weather,to have had a fan,but we could not expect it as nowhere did it say that they had aircon!
The location and the staff, the outdoor facilities were very good and the food was also very good.
Good and friendly service at dinner
Room was a bit basic and v hot
The beef pie was the best I've had for a long time.
The room was a bit basic and rather dated but it did the job!
Nice room with an unexpected fourposter bed and a real bathroom. Breakfast generous and tasty. Alright for one night.. Value for the £65 we paid.
Just a pub with rooms.+No where to sit except two tatty sofas in a lobby by the main toilets. Decor very tired throughout and a desperately sad dusty plastic rose in our room. Service, friendly but inattentive.
The breakfast was great, cooked to order. Staff were very helpful
Value for money Friendly Welcome Functional
food, particularly the breakfasts
on this occasion the room although comfortable was small and could do with a bit of a makeover
We have stayed before and shall again, the location, service and food are excellent. The restaurant area is very good indeed and the staff are lovely. Very good value for money.
This time we stayed in the mews area which was a little noisy - the en suite is rather dated now and needs a deep clean. The tiles, bath and w.c.suround need regrouting remastic
Staff where excellent,we needed to book a taxi for the wedding and they sorted it out for us.The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal, would definitely recommend it .
good food and friendly staff, a very pleasant stay.
wifi was a bit hit and miss.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful.
The car park was very small and caused a few problems.
staff very helpful
toilet seat did not stay up
