Friendly and helpful staff New beds Spotless bed linen Delicious breakfast Window in bathroom Lovely dining room We were told that the rooms were to be refurbished
The room was in desperate need of refurbishment. The carpet was old and tired. No bedside lamp.
Good location, superb breakfast.
very good breakfast.good service
steep stairs to bedroom.
Hospitality was good also breakfast, pub area seemed nice and friendly
Courtyard room was very tired and not welcoming, probably in need of refurbishment
a good central location had a nice quiet room as requested food good
small parking area for residents
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good quality food. Lovely location. Overall a very comfortable experience at a very reasonable price.
No negative comments.
Wi fi was very poor in bedroom.
Friendly staff excellent value for money
Problem getting WiFi to operate
friendly staff, excellent breakfast and evening meal, good location with parking and comfortable bed.
Staff and service excellent Very nice Breakfast. Very nice location.
Small issues with the room. Nowhere to hang a towel or cloths in the bathroom. Lead on kettle too short to reach any work surface so had to put on floor. Danger of kicking over when hot.
Great atmosphere, fantastic food, lovely room and friendly staff. No weddings, no live bands, great !
Lovely staff to welcome us and show us to our room. Food fantastic especially breakfast.
The bed: extremely uncomfortable and lumpy. Also 2 huge spiders in the room when I opened my eyes in the morning :(
Very helpful, friendly staff. Lovely full English breakfast included. Food in general very good. Clean spacious rooms.
Decor in the room was a little tired but towels and bedding were spotlessly clean and ironed.
I would say everything.
Staff were fantastic, the food was very good and it was just a great atmosphere.
The noise for the traffic on the road.
The bed was very comfortable. The ensuite had a bath and shower. Linen and towels were good quality too. The breakfast was generous and well cooked. I had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was also good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
My room was a bit noisy. It was facing the street so had the normal , to be expected , street noise. The decor was a bit tired but frankly for the money I paid it was fine!
Staff extremely welcoming and helpful.
Bed was rather low to the ground
Friendly staff that could not do enough to help.. Great value for money in a beautiful part of the country.
I have stayed at the Crown on several occasions when on business in this area i don't even look at other places now i have found somewhere great to stay staff, meals, rooms and location spot on cleanliness of rooms second to none.
Very friendly and kindly let us book in early
The breakfast was nice, staff quite friendly and the little pub was good
You could feel every spring in the mattress, the bathroom was carpeted and quite outdated and wasn't overly clean, and one of the staff came in to our room without knocking to take back the iron! For how much we paid I wouldn't recommend it.
Good location. We stayed as a party of 13 for a family wedding nearby. Staff were so friendly and made you feel very welcome.
It was a hot night and a fan would have been useful. I did not ask for one so they may well have had some.
The staff were so helpful and pleasant. Good breakfast.
Could do with a refurb. The noise outside my bedroom window early in the morning.
nothing at all
only three places in the car park, for 24 rooms. slightly scruffy rooms, decor grubby and dated.
We received a pleasant welcome with all questions answered. It was a gorgeous sunny late early evening so had drinks outside before going into the dining room to eat some of the best steaks any of us had in a long time! Breakfast was good and plentiful and all the staff throughout were excellent. Good luck to them all.
My bedroom was a little noisy from morning traffic but it was on the front of the building - but had I shut the window it may not have been a problem! Wouldn't stop me going back again.
