This delightful hotel is conveniently located just 2 miles from junction 16 of the M4. Set in 2 acres of landscaped gardens, Marsh Farm is ideally located for exploring the nearby Cotswolds.
Score from 341 reviews Very good
it's in a quiet location off the beaten track in beautiful scenery. An ideal place to chill out from a busy world. We had a very enjoyable stay there.
Beds, location, night quietness, able to park.
No phone reception, they would not use restaurant room for evening meals (reserved for functions), meals served only in uncomfortable noisy bar rooms, meals only average, exterior of buildings scruffy, no covered way from bedrooms to main building, AND' locals' advise it is "up for sale and not as good as it has been".
Excellent pub in a great location; plenty of pub character, great pub food with an excellent breakfast. Beautiful weather when we stayed for 3 nights so we could eat at the outside tables. Friendly and helpful staff Overall good value for money
Nothing not to like here
The Inn was lovely the food lovely service great
Too far from Stroud - cost 20.00 pounds in taxi to get there and then too far from Cirencester. You need a car if you stay there
Off the beaten track, quiet, peaceful with friendly, very helpful staff. Food good, room very comfortable.
Excellent fresh fish menu (unusual to the norm) Lovely busy atmosphere in the bar/restaurant area. Beautiful views of the valley from the garden area. Very attentive friendly staff & very accommodating. In our opinion ideal for a short relaxing stay.
Bedrooms tired need a revamp + bigger bed. But on the whole we were more than happy with our stay
Bedrooms in the quiet annex
The pub food and staff are great so go there for lunch & dinner.
The accommodation block is very 60's dormitory and out of keeping with the pub. Clean and tidy but a premier inn would give it a run for its money. I guess we expected quaint and it aint!
The staff were the very best.My husband really enjoyed the local beer.I Enjoyed the house wine.Food was excellent and I was a little awkward mixing starters and main meals together, but no problem for the staff.Cleanliness was excellent and the parking facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed our visit.Thank you
It would have been nice to have had a ceiling fan in the room, but appreciate this is England and we do not have too much in the way of high temperatures as we did on our visit.
Well run, pleasent staff, good evening meal and breakfast. Would use this place again if I was in the area.
The location was amazing and the food was really good
The tv only played the radio in the room. I know this wouldn't bother some people but I don't have a tv in my bedroom at home and I love watching tv in bed when im away so this was disappointing.
Charming hotel with a great pub, which is very convenient if you want to eat and have a drink at the end of the day. Nice garden outside and a very authentic English atmosphere.
I loved the location, the pub / restaurant, and the food. In particular the staff were terrific. The room was large with a great view and it's nice to stay in a hotel where they let you open the windows properly!! I would definitely stay here again.
The bed was narrow but then I did book late and they were the last two rooms available. However the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Although the bathroom was big it was a bit old-fashioned and I have a hatred of shower curtains. They always look awful and I think hotels these days should use shower screens or have proper shower cubicles if possible.
If it rained might get wet going to breakfast.....haha
Peaceful rural location not too far off the beaten track. Eclectic and lively mix of customers drinking and eating in what is obviously a very popular destination in the area. The entire evening experience was memorable.
Nothing much not to like. Being picky, the bedroom doors could do with something on the frame or door to soften/dampen the impact of wood meeting wood. The sound of doors being closed was very noticeable around midnight. We thought also that there was an excess of mini plastic packets at breakfast. When catering portions rule, quality can suffer.
Location Friendly and helpful staff Food
Very friendly staff. Wonderful location. Historically interesting.
Great pub, nice food, friendly staff
Terrible mattress, lumpy pillow, no wifi in accommodation block
It was a delight to stay at this location. Shame we were there for less than 24 hours. The location has amazing sunset views and the pub food is top. Would recommend and come back for a visit.
Location was grand. The breakfasts were very good. Staff very polite.
The pub meals were ok but only just; ordinary pub grub. The shrimp sauce on the plaice fillets came out of a tin and was overwhelming and not very nice. We will stick to breakfasts next time
ideal base to see some of the beautiful Cotswold towns. The Crown had a good menu good choice of local ales.
narrow lanes around Frampton Mansell a bit tense driving at times.you just have to be patient.
The fact it was off the beaten track and beautifully quiet. The staff were attentive/polite, but not intrusive and the food was excellent.
Could have done with a non-slip mat in the bath and would have liked a shower cap.
Setting, food in pub, breakfasts, bathrooms.
Bedrooms were very comfortable but maybe a little modernising of the furniture is needed compared to similar priced country inns we've stayed at in the area.
the beautiful area
