Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Lovely rooms. Delicious food. Dog friendly.

Staff were particularly helpful and pleasant. Good range of menu for lunch/dinner. Historic comfortable ambience in bar/dining room.

Would have liked wi-fi in the bedrooms too.

A warm welcome and shown to the room/helped with bags. Nice clean, comfortable, quite spacious room in annex adjoining the pub. Good en-suite facilites with complimentary toiletries and generous amounts of tea and coffee making supplies. Good evening food in the bar/restaurant, nice, relaxed atmosphere and house wine not too expensive. Good service and attentive staff. Everything it should have been for a very comfortable stay. A lovely inn in a lovely place and very close to Stroud if attending events there.

Breakfast was a bit minimal for the money -would normally expect (and get) more than this. No vegetarian option, despite veggie Glamorgan sausages on the menu in the pub. No hash browns or fried bread and only three slices of toast per couple, so a bit carb short. Service was a bit hit and miss, a shame as we'd had such good service in the restaurant the previous night. A cafetiere per person is quite usual too, this saves having to get cups refilled - only one refill was offered, then cups whisked away, as was the toast rack! A shame to let such small, inexpensive things let down an otherwise perfect stay.

Comfortable rooms. Breakfast was okay. Lovely Cotswold setting. Pleasant helpful staff.

Candles replaced the log fires which looked attractive but did not make the bar areas cosy or warm.

Loved the Pub and surrounding area.

Arrived after 3pm on a saturday and couldn't get any food to eat, not even a sandwich.

We enjoyed the Pub atmosphere and excellent meals from Chef Patrick. The hosts of this Inn were wonderful and helpful. It gave us an opportunity to meet and visit with the locals. Highly recommended!

Excellent Uley beer and a sensibly limited menu with specials which were well prepared. Excellent 'two nibble' starter. Glostershire Old Spot English breakfast a must. More than helpful young staff. A delightful, busy yet relaxing country inn.

Breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked to order. Room was clean and modern, with every facility.

Even though bed was comfy it did appear to be a bit on the small side. Don't think it was a full size double.

Nice clean rooms and great cosy pub. Staff were really helpful.

No mobile phone coverage which can not be blamed on the Hotel but would be great to extend the wifi to the hotel rooms from the bar.

Slight niggle stayed three nights, after first night cups in room not changed, had to ask reception for replacements.

no phone reception, no wifi outside the bar (and not great there) so cut off from the world. Ok if that's what you are looking for

All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, and just the right amount, so that you did not feel bloated. Well stocked bar, with some nice local beers. Breakfast was fine , just pick what you want. Rooms were clean and tidy, with everything you need. plenty of teas and coffee's in the room every day, and biscuits. You were made to feel welcome.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, absolutely spotless room, lovely homemade food (top marks to the chef), open fire, decent beer… and at a very good price. Excellent!

Well, breakfast could be managed better. Five tables for 12 rooms meant that some people had to wait, and they weren't happy. Pouring coffee when you sit first down means it's cold by the time your food arrives, and they forgot to bring the toast, etc – it was all a bit chaotic and could easily be done better.

Welcoming and friendly staff, clean and cosy rooms with comfy beds, delicious home cooked food at a very reasonable price, delicious full English breakfast. 12Noon check out so had a well deserved lie in! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Crown Inn to others.

One and only slight negative - whilst we love an open fire, and the atmosphere was very cosy, the pub itself was a bit smoky.
