Easy walk from Manchester Picadilly station. Good full English breakfast. Great staff in allowing me to stow bags due to an early arrival. Comfortable bed and good cable TV
Outside the window is a bit noisy with smokers talking on the sidewalks and the noise from the pub across the street. I stayed on a night of a soccer game (football), and the young people on my floor were a bit loud and at one point banged on each others' doors at 4:30 am. I slept with earplugs. The notice clearly noted "no wifi" or sink in the room.
Good location, great if you want to spent one night in Manchester and are looking for something cheap.
Pretty noisy but if you are staying above a pub you cant expect any different.
Great location , staff are lovely specially the lady who does the breakfast in the morning. And breakfast is worth getting up for!
The window in our room didn't close properly and we was freezing when we woke up.
The location was perfect, Taxi's outside, considering we were above a pub, we couldn't hear anything, The bathroom was lovely and clean, one of my party of three was a bit dubious about the "shared bathroom" but it met her approval very highly! Our room was perfect, clean, and nicely decorated, the beds were comfy, I slept like a baby, all three of us were impressed and would use again and recommend.
great place, super kind staff, excellent location in a cool neighborhood
The breakfast was nice and the bnb was nice overall.
I booked four twin rooms at the bnb afew weeks before. When we arrived i was disappointed to find that we only had three rooms booked according to the bnb! The staff were very helpful though and did not charge the full amount, as one of the group had to sleep on a mattress on the floor of one of the rooms.
only good for one night
Staff was NOT friendly. Whole building squeeked everytime you move an inch, holes in the floor & walls, cracked windows, cables anywhere.. terrible. DO NOT GO !!!!
have now stayed at crown and anchor in manchester or about 5 occasions although this was the 1st time I had booked through boooking.com. i find it perfect for what I want in Manchester. Its central just 2 minutes from piccadilly gardens clean comfortable and friendly and helpful staff.
Felt like I was right at home the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Gail who cooks breakfast in the morning was a sweetheart she catered to my every need as I am a fussy eater :) By the time my boyfriend and I had to leave we really did feel like we were right at home.
Beds were a tad uncomfortable but than again I just hate not being in my own bed.
Bit of a shambles
clean bathroom and shower.Tidy room-small but OK. no trouble with noise but stayed on weekdays.
Lady at the bar was quite rude but rest of staff were fine.
The hotel was just around the corner from Piccadilly station, really close to all the bars, All the Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, gave us a warm welcome and let us book in early which I thought was really nice of them, there was a great food menu, lovely bar area, also there was a great selection at breakfast with loads to choose from, large clean modern rooms with loads of light and space, Great benefit of an upstairs roof terrace with seating, comfortable beds, fresh bedding, fresh towels, modern furniture tv and Tea and coffee facilities. The shared Bathroom on our floor was clean and modern and really nicely fitted out. I would definitely stay again.
Would of liked curtains or blackout blinds for a better lie in after a long night, And our room needed a mirror but we used the one in the next room so it was fine.
The Wifi password didn't work
Got into Manchester late and missed check in. No one answered the phone, no reception or buzzer so I was left on the street as everywhere else was full. Window to the pub was left open and the door to the beer garden isn't secure.
It was easy to find, only 5 mins walk from Piccadily station. Close to the shops and within walking distance of Deansgate and restaurants. Rooms ready before check-in time and had late check out. Full size iron and ironing board available for use and my three teenagers had a huge wall mounted TV in their room. Staff really accommodating and friendly, going out of their way to provide what we needed.
Rooms were clean, but very basic. Access was through the pub bar area and was abit rundown. The shared bathroom was clean but used by other guests as well as the five people in my party. The bar and surrounding area was lively and noise from the street and buildings carried on until around 4am.
Beds were pretty sweet shower worked alright location was great breakfast was pretty good
the wifi cut off every half an hour and it took a lot of effort to reconnect. we had no toilet in the room staff were unavailable on the first night.
Staff were friendly and helped me with my bags up 2 flights of stairs.
Door was hard to close and banged every time i Went in or out.
The staffs are very kind and helpful. The location is much better than I have expected, just a few minutes walk to city centre. Room was clean and tidy. The breakfast is good. Overall a good place for short stay in Manchester.
A bit noisy in the street if you leave the window opened at night. Well after all that day is the World Cup final......
noise, the ground floor is a bar which is very noisy until 2 am. These two businesses are not compatible.
Location was fantastic staff where very friendly even had a drink with them when I returned after my night out couldn't fault them.
Nothing it was everything I needed.
A man, said to me, words very heavy when we were arriving at the hotel, so i didnt like that.
A lot of things I disliked everything except the location
heating was on and it was hot outside
