Lovely surroundings. Friendly helpful staff. Nice arrangement of rooms around courtyard. Lovely views from the window. Decent restaurant. Room well stocked with toiletries and hospitality. Comfortable beds. Good size bathroom. Free wifi.
Location was perfect, the hotel was very well presented, rooms were clean and had a very nice view of the stream out the window, staff were polite and helpful
Comfortable rooms , cosy bar and good food ! Excellent value
Value for money and good breakfast. Easy to find
Perfect place to relax and unwind . Will be booking again in the summer.
The whole experience
V friendly staff.. Brilliant food. Ideal location
This is a lovely, friendly, hotel just minutes from Cirencester. It was spotlessly clean throughout and the staff were friendly and helpful. The cask ale was excellent and the food was simply fabulous and cooked to order. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing break.
location for visiting cotswold area
Wi-Fi signal weak in bedroom
Location, comfort & facilities were all superb.
The bar staff have a dodgy habit of refilling your glass from your bottle, and bringing 'same again' drinks orders, all without asking first-it just makes them look a little bit money grubbing, and the place would be perfect if not for that.
Location, ambience, staff ,food and drink excellent overall!
Difficult to get a phone signal and intermittent wi -fi
Ideal country location yet convenient for local facilities. Very peaceful, nice room etc. Staff were helpful, polite and - best of all - did not indulge in that ghastly habit of calling us "guys" all the time.
No adverse comments
Lovely location, by brook. That we could eat at about 10pm, when we arrived after a long drive. Ease of checkout, ie no paperwork.
Slight trouble with door locking. Could hear upstairs neighbours talking (and possibly therefore they could hear us snoring!)
Very Friendly staff who were attentive to our requirements. Made us very welcome. Great centre for the Cotswolds. Peaceful and quiet. As we say in Hungary... Kellemes!!
Please check cleanliness of towels. Like most facilities these are outsourced for washing. New Towels were provided without any delays on one day.
Lovely location by river. Excellent food and restaurant.
Not a big issue for us but TV reception a little patchy
super friendly, cheerful & helpful staff. clean, attractive room with country view warm & comfortable bar/restaurant with varied breakfast & dinner menu
hard bed with vastly over togged duvet & no alternative cover
Dinner and was excellent
Smell of manure in the entrance. Stingy breakfast with poor service. One would expect 2 sets of towels in a room with 2 guests.
The staff are very friendly and hospitable, we had a double deluxe room which was very clean ad presentable upon arrival with beautiful views and the Italian style courtyard is very inviting. We ate at the hotel and the food is was excellent, as was the service. Very good hotel, I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and look forward to staying again in the future. :-)
Everything.. this is one hotel that is top of my list and only hope we get a chance to stay there again.
Nothing... everything was perfect
The staff are lovely. The courtyard and stream outside the room also great. Quiet and private. Haven't tried the restaurant. Exceptional value for money.
Check out times are exceptionally early. I've never ever seen a 10am check out time before and perhaps that could be delayed to 12pm. The WiFi doesn't allow you to log on with 2 devices e.g. iPhone and iPad. Why?
The lovely location by the river, great bed, friendly welcome.
Noise from other rooms.
The staff were very helpful and the rooms were very spacious
The restaurant had a lovely ambience but the food let it down , it wasn't awful apart from the french onion soup (steer clear) but it wasn't outstanding which was a shame as the setting was lovely
Comfortable bed, great sizzling veggie fajitas. Comfortable modern room. Nice feel to the place, good service. Unusual layout, rooms around pleasant courtyard.
Large, loud, corporate group completely deafened all present in restaurant at dinner & breakfast.
The hotel itself was so homely. The dining area had the countryside type setting with real fireplace. The kitchen staff was very helpful and friendly. The countryside views close to the hotel were amazing.
Excellent breakfast. Rooms at back look out over fields and a stream. It's on a main road but most if not all rooms seem to be at the back. Short taxi ride into Cirencester.
I read the hotel rules in the room information pack. I didn't test this out or query it but I didn't like the bit that said if you want any top-ups to the tea/coffee in the room, you will be charged 50p!!!
