From the moment we arrived I knew we had made the right choice. The room and facilities were to a very good standard. The bar and restaurant very welcoming, lovely breakfast. We look forward to our next visit.
bed was not to comfortable
Convenient location, off the main road but close. Friendly staff, and clean and comfortable accomodation. We didn't eat dinner there, but the breakfast was tasty and delivered without delay.
The room was nice, the food did taste nice and a great location.
Wasnt told there was a Marriage doo, was very noisy and couldnt sleep one night. Had breakfast, the cleaner decided to hoover when we were still eating our beakfast. Couldnt hear ourselves speak. Went back for some dinner (after I checked out, why did I go back, I know), there was a living creature in my food. They refused to give me a new meal, then decided to take money off my credit card when I wasnt the bill-payer. I call it THEFT, they were supposed to call my partner as they said they will credit some of the bill (not my bill). At the weekend they dont have any managerial staff there, but that's not my fault. Ive stayed there once before, this time was a disaster, NEVER AGAIN!!!!.
Had a very comfortable stay at The Crown. Good breakfast. Lovely bar for a very tasty evening meal. Would stay again
The fact that room service is so good, And all food arrives arrives boiling hot coved in foil & stays warm or ages. You cn go into the restaurant and be served, also but I will never go ,anywhere else. Hod Bless You all. Dtaff are EXCELLENT. Reallly! !! Love from ,Ronnie aged old......oap. Somereset!
Having to leave after 3 days of piece, quiet and the journey home in the pouring rain and dog. Should have stayed another night!
I stayed only 1 night but found all the staff very helpful and the restaurant staff were very polite and attentive. The restaurant was very comfortable and the food was of a good quality. My room was clean and more than adequate
Good room size, comfy bed, good breakfast
Lovely picturesque setting, warm, friendly welcoming services, bar and food was great quality and a huge selection. The hotel grounds and interior were immaculate, already recommended to friends and we will certainly be returning
Liked the location as hotel was peaceful even though it was next to a busy road Good variety for breakfast A smaller menu for dinner in the bar might have allowed a higher quality of food
The haidryer was n't working and was reported to reception on our first morning When we got back in the evening, the hairdryer had not been repaired or replaced and we had no power in our room. We were told at reception that the lights etc had been checked earlier! Someone had to be called out to fix it and this was done within an hour or 2.
Lovely location Quiet rooms, well presented and very clean. Staff very helpful Pet friendly and the grounds were great to take our dog for a great walk Breakfast was lovely
Comfortable clean room reasonable size. Excellent evening meal in the bar with very attentive staff. Wifi works as advertised. Excellent location to visit the Cotswolds.
Price is top end for the quality/size of the room but it is in The Cotswolds after all. Do you really charge 50p for an extra Tea Bag? Can't believe you do that (we are in the Guesthouse business and that is penny pinching). Fair choice on the buffet, for cold breakfast, but cooked breakfast was a big disappointment. Scrambled Egg inedible, cooked to death. Bacon (one piece) over cooked. Too many beans on the plate to fill the gap left by no Black Pudding. When everything else is up to scratch, it's a pity that the breakfast is not.
Very peaceful room overlooking a small serene river with views beyond. Good ambience in the restaurant. Very convenient for Cirencester and the Southern Cotswold attractions.
TV reception a bit dodgy. Only one set of towels left.

The décor of the room was very attractive which made us feel comfortable. Our quiet room had a brook outside the window which was lovely to listen to at night. And we had a lovely outlook, too. Breakfast was fantastic! We felt well looked after by Lucy, Roxanne and John. There was also a big car park.
The setting was excellent and the overall ambiance was very nice too. It was especially good to be able to take my dog with me.
The 'welcome' received upon checking in wasn't in slightest welcoming which really spoilt the stay as it is such a critical element. However the dressing down given to the house-keeper by the manager at reception during check out was Fawlty-esque in it's inappropriateness.
Staff and facilities excellent
Friendly staff, good food, professionally run.
Hotel and bar staff were all very pleasant. Room and view were all perfect, plenty of room in the bedroom even with two large spinner suitcases and multiple small bags we were not crowded. The hotel section is a new addition to this Cotwold Pub which is a worthy addition. Great river views from the bedroom. All in lovely base for Cotswold touring.
Nice room, well lit with plenty of mirrors (perfect for getting ready for a wedding as we were), lovely views and quiet at night.
Breakfast on Sunday morning had been good but on Monday when the hotel was quieter the cooked breakfast was cold and some of it was undercooked. Also we weren't over keen on the bar food on the Saturday night but maybe we just ordered the wrong things. Also didn't like having dogs in the restaurant whilst eating our breakfast.
Very nice hotel, location and facilities. One of the nicest we've stayed in. Hope to visit again soon.
Did not like allowing dog's in restraunt at breakfast or any other time, some people are very nervous of them.
Staff we're very pleasant and quality of food was good.
Didn't like that the bar was part of the dining area and the lighting was rather dim for eating.
We liked the location, the staff were very very friendly and helpfull , the room was also very good. We'll be back
Room beds are comfortable and it is right in front of brook, nice atmosphere. Staff are nice and the restaurant is excellent for dinner.
Breakfast can be better.
