The Crown Hotel

The food was excellent. The rooms very comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. The owner Barry was particulaly helpful in contacting a local garage when we needed a tyre repairing after a puncture. As this was a specialist tyre for a radial wheel on a classic car we needed advice.

The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Superb old pub in a beautiful village.

The staff were amazingly helpful and concerned for my Mum's well being and her enjoyment of her stay. The village was so quiet and peaceful you couldn't help but relax yet it was a great location for visiting local attractions. Roast potatoes for Sunday lunch were gorgeous.

We found the evening meals excellent and would certainly rate this as 5*

Bathroom equipment needs some upgrading to compliment other standards of this venue.

We were able to secure our bikes overnight and the staff were welcoming. Food excellent

Clean, well appointed room. Good shower. Comfy bed. Good breakfast with cereals and juices. Relaxed atmosphere. Pub bars with real ales, plus food served until 10pm.

Minor points - could have done with towel rail in bathroom and some hooks in bathroom to hang clothes. Also shelf in shower for shampoos etc.

Shower not in a seperate cubicle.No mirror in bedroom for hair drying . No handle on interior of door to 2nd. toilet, no soap in second bathroom. Staff at Saturday dinner neede a bit more training.

More than just a room ! A one bedroom detached house with separate bedroom upstairs and two single beds downstairs plus two TV's which was great with two children.

Had a problem with ants in the kitchen area and in the kettle !!

Weliked the staff they made our wedding anniversary meal really good with things on the table and a banner over the window which we sat at .

some locals already worse for wear on alcohol when we arrived late afternoon (although we could have used other bar)

Staff very welcoming. Bar well stocked and a good selection including well kept real ale. Arrived late evening so didnt get chance to sample food. Breakfast was good served in restaurant which is a proper formal setting with fully laid tables. I will certainly stay again.

Bad language in bar from regulars which was surprisingly tolerated by female staff.

I really enjoyed the open fire in the pub and the friendly atmosphere, they allowed dogs which was nice, even though I don't have one myself! Breakfast was ample for an all-inclusive.

There was a tea and coffee facility in the room but no biscuits, and sometimes it's nice to have something to nibble on when you arrive! Also, shower room was nice and clean but very very small with no sanitary bin!
