The Crown Hotel  

All of the above, we would stay again for a special weekend. Loved the location. We would recommend The Crown to family and friends.

Not a complaint just a suggestion, service the rooms on stay overs as soon as your staff can enter the room. Our room was serviced very late in the afternoon on Friday 6 April, we left our room at 11am and returned after 4.30pm. We wanted to use our room, but had to wait, we also had to ask and wait for loo paper.

Good quality room well maintained and large. Very busy bar and dining areas making it a very interesting place to be. Very good quality food, service is fast but you can hold the courses to allow a more lea surly meal. Restaurant staff excellent; attentive but not over fussy Good camra standard hand pumped beer available, choice of three. Car parking large enough for all guests and others Woodbridge is a great little town with the Crown at the top of the fully pedestrian main shopping street. Plenty of other places to eat, though we stuck with the Crown as it was so good on the first night. Breakfast menu was particularly good with very high quality local produce appearing on all menus.

At the price we paod you could not ask for more

The menu is excellent and reasonably priced. We never like to go anywhere that is less comfortable then our own home but The Crown is well appointed with an exceptionally nice bathroom. Also bang in the middle of Woodbridge so you can walk to just about anywhere and it has free parking. And all an hour from London!

Great decor and good food and very full and informative wine list

The bedroom was very noisy (no soundproofing from the strreet outside or the bar below. The noise in the bar went on until well after midnight). Secondly, very disappointed as a hotel resident not to be able to get a reservation for dinner except at 6pm or 9pm when the hotel had finished serving their christmas party dinner bookings.

The staff although not rude were unwelcoming and aloof. The food was of very average quality and way overpriced, as was the wine. Breakfast was marred by a staff member spraying & cleaning the tables around us for the entire time we were eating. The bathtub in room number 3 was badly chipped. The beds were not comfortable & the pillows so thin as to be pretty useless. This place could learn a thing or two from the Salthouse in Ipswich or the Seckford Hall Hotel which despite being slightly out of town we will definitely be returning to for our next visit to Woodbridge. The Crown has really been hyped up to be something it isn'T.

Every member of staff understood their role in delivering a very high standard of customer service. We were made welcome as soon as we entered the hotel. In addition, the room, facilites and restaurant were all excellent and value for money. The only niggle was that breakfast service was a little slow which made us late for an appointment one morning. This would not prevent us returning or recommending the Crown to friends, which we already have.

I was getting nmarried in Wood Hall manot the next day and this was very convenient, the food was excellant and the staff proffesional and friendly. Good job

It was clean and tidy and everything functioned as it should. Internet access, although generally a weak signal, was a plus point.

design, furnishings, and colour schemes excellent throughout the hotel and particularly in the room. Dressing gowns an added luixury, together with very good toiletries.

Nice to have a cafetiere in the room, but disappointing to have only decaf-coffee to use in it.

The bar and restaurant areas were very good and interacted well together

Room 5 was above the bar and a bit noisy if you want to get to sleep early
