Good food and very freindly staff. Lighting in the room very poor when doing make-up etc. Room 2 very noisy if window open - would not want to stay in that room in Summer. No comfortable chair in room. No comfortable seating in lounge bar area. Reception poorly placed at the back of the bar - we had to fight through crowds to get to our room.

Great decor and good food and very full and informative wine list The bedroom was very noisy (no soundproofing from the strreet outside or the bar below. The noise in the bar went on until well after midnight). Secondly, very disappointed as a hotel resident not to be able to get a reservation for dinner except at 6pm or 9pm when the hotel had finished serving their christmas party dinner bookings.

The staff although not rude were unwelcoming and aloof. The food was of very average quality and way overpriced, as was the wine. Breakfast was marred by a staff member spraying & cleaning the tables around us for the entire time we were eating. The bathtub in room number 3 was badly chipped. The beds were not comfortable & the pillows so thin as to be pretty useless. This place could learn a thing or two from the Salthouse in Ipswich or the Seckford Hall Hotel which despite being slightly out of town we will definitely be returning to for our next visit to Woodbridge. The Crown has really been hyped up to be something it isn'T.

Very conveniently located in Woodbridge, lovely decor, great bar and seating area and good food. Great toiletries and coffee and tea facilities in the room. Hot water in Room 1 was a bit erratic and room not particularly large - preferred Room 10 which we moved to forour last night. Would be nice to have a couple of biscuits withthe coffee facilities and perhaps a few complimentary magazines of the area ie Suffolk Life in the room.

Every member of staff understood their role in delivering a very high standard of customer service. We were made welcome as soon as we entered the hotel. In addition, the room, facilites and restaurant were all excellent and value for money. The only niggle was that breakfast service was a little slow which made us late for an appointment one morning. This would not prevent us returning or recommending the Crown to friends, which we already have.

The room was beautifully decorated and it's always a treat to have a fluffy white dressing gown awaiting after the bath! The bar and the food was really good.I Had asked in my booking 3/12 ago if I could bring a spaniel and it was only when I arrived at reception that I was advised that they don't accept dogs. I must say that reception were excellent and offered me a spare staff room to house the dog at night which we did appreciate but didn't take up the offer. When I arrived home there was the message on my phone to say we couldn't have the dog in our room. The website says no dogs, I can't remember if that was the case in July. I accept it is an old hotel but we stayed in hot weather and were unable to get the sash windows to stay up more than a few inches. I did mention it but nothing was done or perhaps couldn't be so we were hot in the room at night. The road was a bit noisy also. We couldn't find anywhere in Woodbridge to let our dog off the lead which was a bit of a nuisance.

design, furnishings, and colour schemes excellent throughout the hotel and particularly in the room. Dressing gowns an added luixury, together with very good toiletries. Nice to have a cafetiere in the room, but disappointing to have only decaf-coffee to use in it.

Relaxed and stylish 'boutique' hotel that welcomed all. May be a tiny bit earnest and over 'designed' at times - the privacy glass on the ground floor public spaces didn't work for me - but compared with the usual pub hotel styling a small niggle. My average priced room was calm and very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Service nicely helpful but discreet. I loved the location - right in the heart of the town, and easy to wonder out to explore. Food was very well priced and tasty. I Would recommend and will return! Thank you to all at the Crown for an enjoyable visit.

The room was high quality. The bed was good as were the furnishings. Lovely toilettres and nice to have a cafetiere in the room with milk. Parking was easy with good access to the hotel through the back. Dinner at the hotel was fabulous although I thought it was a shame they didnt offer an incentive for eating at the hotel if you were staying there. We would have eaten there more than one night if we had had a deal maybe? Was expensive to eat for more than one night otherwise. Annoyed that a couple of the tv channels didnt work, even bbc 1! Poor for a good quality hotel. No explanation from reception. Breakfast was too fussy, would have liked the option of fruit salad and yoghurts etc and its unforgivable to run out of croissants by 9am!!
