Monika was a great host, often offering drinks, preparing a tasty breakfast and very accommodating letting us have it in bed before checkout. We were then told we could have a later checkout if that suited - which we took advantage of. The four poster bed was comfy with lovely feather pillows, it was tempting to stay there all day. The fire alarm went off in the morning but luckily we were up anyway. As a goodwill gesture she gave us a voucher to return at 50% off for the disruption. We will come back in the autumn.

The room was very nicely decorated, the bed was so comfortable! The b&b is located in a central position but very quiet and silent in the morning. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, big portions and a nice menu as well! the owner was very helpful and friendly.

If you are heading to Windermere this is the place to stay. Beautiful little B&B with great staff who are friendly and very helpful and will do anything to make your stay an enjoyable one. I stayed here as a solo traveller with my dog for 3 nights over the easter break. The Crunchy Leaf is very well presented and very clean. Given the unusual winter temps, this place was warm and cosy. It is close to the train station for those who are travelling by train. My dog Dashii loved the extra attention she got plus the lovely breakfasts the staff gave her in the mornings. Excellent stay.

Decor was lovely in the room and wifi was available and the guest book had laudable info for those unfamiliar to the area. Friendly staff that stayed up for our late arrival with wine :) Breakfast room was bare, staff seemed a little shy
