Great location and good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. It was one of the few hotels that had enough single rooms for our party and we were very pleased that we could all stay together. For the price we paid, the location and standard was very good. My room was pretty run down, - reminded me of my student days! But the rooms my friends stayed in were much better so luck of the draw. For the money I payed I am not complaining too loudly - everything else was fine.

As ticked above: very good hotel staff, comfort, position of hotel and parking facilities. Food very good. However, see below. Whilst the room (302) was of adequate size and the decor very good it suffered from a chronic creaking floorboard syndrome both above and within the room itself.which resulted in an uncomfortable stay.

Very good location on sea front, friendly staff, good public rooms, good breakfast. We booked the last room and were in in an area of the hotel with noisy floor boards around us and above. The hotel is tired in places but no great problem to us

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were pleasant and helpfull. The location was excellent for both beach and town centre. I had a room at the rear of the hotel and was woken every morning by the sound of bottles being deposited into a bin.the price of drinks at the bar seemed very dear.(Or is this just the going rate in Eastbourne?)

Friendly and helpful staff lovely location for sitting and looking out to sea. Large room even though it wAs standard. Would prefer a space between twin beds as parent and child sharing. Beds good bit some very creaky floorboards. Shower height too low for tall folks.

Localization, quite clean, elevator. Fish for breakfast. Tv was not working. Wifi likely reaches the first floor only. It's not really a flaw but don't be astonished by the age of customers, everything is done in this hotel for seniors ! Our room was among those having an awful view on the back and this is not recommended for a long stay in Eastbourne ! You can be uncomfortable with the transparent door of the bathroom/toilets.No parking. It's ok on sunday when any parking is free in the city.

Excellant location with the bandstand directly oposite and the pier just a few hundred meters away. It is also only a five minute walk to the main shopping centre. Very good public rooms with the restaurant and lounge overlooking the promenade and the sea. The staff were very friendly and efficient Floorboards in room creeked and apparently all rooms are the same (From receptionist). It was very noisy from the room above. Could do with being redecorated outside and in. Paint peeling off windows and our room overlooked the rear yard where the hotel could do with a paint job. The seagulls do not seem to sleep, with no airconditioning or fan we had to leave the window open so there was an incessant squawking all night - yes I know its by the sea but doulble glazed window and some form of airconditioning would be helpfull.
