The lad looking after us first class and enjoyed the breakfast he cooked us.
I found the room really comfortable. I got a really good value rate for two nights. The staff are super friendly. There's a pub and nightclub on your doorstep.
Receptionist very helpful and friendly, bed was comfortable.
Room was old and dated, wallpaper peeling off walls, breakfast and breakfast area were tiny and dirty. Late night noise from bar next door was excessive.
Let down by minor repair needed in room and bathroom
Room very small, decor outdated and showroom tiny. Wardrobe door very dodgy and also didnt even try the "free" bowl of cornflakes as the dining area left a lot to be desired. But given prices in Glasgow for the games it was a good place to crash but not again .
Bedding and towels were clean. The staff were very nice and helpful.
Just very dated which made it look dirty. Carpets were dirty needed to keep shoes on all the time, bathroom door creaked very loudly. Kettle and tea/ coffee in the room but nowhere to plug kettle into, had to move it to other side of room and unplug table lamp to use kettle, very dangerous! Other socket did not work. Nothing matched, bits of pink and white bedding, also toilet rolls were awful, half a roll that had obviously been in some other room. Too much dark wood in bathroom which made it look and feel dirty. They need to invest in lots of white paint and bedding and get rid of dirty carpets.
No air con no fan. Extremely noisy. Very uncomfortable. No breakfast. Too hot. Broken window. Poor shower.
Clean single room with lots of space. Friendly, helpful staff.
Having to sit in kitchen for breakfast. Should have proper dining room. Could do with some refurbishment
location, out of town
Good location and very good value for money. Chinese restaurant on site is very good.
Comfortable basic friendly value for money
Complimentary Cereal & Toast & parking on site
A dire dirty hotel very noisy and unable to open windows without letting cigarette smoke in from smokers at pub. Still revellers making a noise at 3 45 am bedside lights not working in rooms and room cleanliness way below an acceptable standard would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Good Location, Nice Bar And Restaurant, Shop Close By, Free Wifi
No Staff At Reception To Check In On Arrival Had To Wait 15 Mins. Room 10 Was Clean But Very Dated, Old Furniture, Beds Cheap Uncomfortable And Squeaky, Bathroom Light Took Few Minutes To Actually Come On, Bath Mat Looked Years Old And Was All Frayed Round The Edges. Music Was Blasting Until Early Hours Of The Morning. Whole Room Needs Refurbished, It Really Lets DAvincis Down As It's Such A Nice Place Otherwise. No One Available At Reception To Check Out On Departure Either
We requested early check on booking, in as we were attending a wedding which started at 2pm. On arrival at the hotel we were advised that we could not check in until 2pm and there was no room available for us to use just to get ready in. The guy on reception explained that he was new and could not make decisions on early check in, and that the manager should be in at 11am. As we'd arrived at 10.50am we decided to wait and see if he could authorise an early check in. It then transpired that the manager and indeed all the staff had overindulged in alcohol the night before as a band was playing at the adjacent club, and the barmaid who'd just arrived thought it was appropriate to announce to as-yet unchecked-in guests that she was feeling rough. It THEN transpired that the day of our stay happened to be the manager's last day, "so he might not turn up". We left it half an hour (in the rank smelling hallway/reception area) but when he still didn't arrive we asked the lad at reception to call him - he was still not on his way so we had to make a judgement call and get in a taxi to go elsewhere to get ready for the wedding. When we returned from the wedding at midnight-ish we were able to check in immediately but the room was disappointing - not because we didn't know it was above a nightclub (we did and took the chance), but because there was no way to close either the bedroom or the bathroom window. We'd have coped with muffled noise from outside but being only one storey above a large crowd in high spirits was ridiculous with the window open - not to mention a security risk. We didn't partake in breakfast as my husband went down to inspect what was on offer and found a continental choice of cornflakes or frosties for the princely sum of £4.95pp. He didn't hang around to see what the full breakfast (£5.95pp) was like. The hotel needs to deodorise and clean the hallway/stairwell and invest in staff training.
Fantastic staff like staying in a family home as a guest. Nothing too much trouble.
the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities. It was good value for money
The kitchen/dining area left a lot to be desired, very small and cramped,
staff were great, very helpful nothing was no trouble to them,we were unsure of transport in the area but the staff were most helpful and informed us of the trains, taxis, etc
were held up in checking in due to room not being ready but we were more than pleased with the room.fresh towels and bedclothes were perfect
Good food friendly staff and a nice bar
Room was hot, small, window was onto a lively bar, noise was really bad, area was rough, breakfast was offered but it was served at the end of corridor no where to eat it.... not the place a young child. Would not recommend, awful place to stay.
location close to my worksite Chinese restaurant, grocery store take away bus stop
WIFI not working, no staff to ask for help
Room smelt of stale smoke (non smoking room) Bed mattress was dirty and springs not comfy to sleep on
Good, comfortable clean room. I was worried that the room was going to be noisy because of the bar/club next door but it wasnt. It was really quiet.
Allowed to take pet dog over night.
Noisy outside room in early hours due to customers outside night club.
