Michael on reception was very helpful and deserves to be recognised for this.We were guets at a wedding evening party and decided it would be easier to stay overnight in Jesmond rather than driving home On first entering reception it seemed a bit 'sparse and dimly lit, which was a shame considering that the decor in the hotel was immaculate. However once we looked around we realised it was just a bit minimalist. I would suggets a couple of large green plants and/ or lamps would make the hotel a little more inviting as the furniture was of very good quality. All in all a very pleasant experience though

The second room we were allocated (no27) was very tastefully decorated and the bed comfortable. The breakfast on offer was more than adequate. After specifically requesting a first floor room, due to both of us having knee troubles, we were put on second floor. With the second set of stairs being very steep and the lift being out of order again, we complained and were moved to a first floor room (no27). The room was very cold when we arrived. The shower cubicle was rather small.

Our room was available sooner than expected and the room and staff were pleasant. I didn't like the hot and hot water in the ensuite(no cold water). The location of the room meant we got all the noise of the late revellers. And no biscuits in the room.

A fair price for b&B. Breakfast good but could have been hotter. Staff friendly and efficient. Gentleman who greeted us needed a shave and tidier clothes, a tie would have smartened him up. Over all a pleasant stay.

Quite location just out of town but handy. Walking distance to local restaurants etc. Breakfast was disappointing - must have been cooked earlier because it was cold other than the egg which was obviously cooked to order - not a fan of cold sausages and lukewarm beans - the plates were cold too. Other than that the hotel was great but the breakfast really let it down - I probably should have sent it back to the kitchen whilst I was there.

Excellent value with easy access to Newcastle via the nearby Metro (7 mins on foot). I have visited twice and was satisfied on both occasions.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is not too near public transport. It was good value on a weekend when Newcastle was expensive.

The location is fantastic. Just a short walk from West Jesmond Metro. There are shops such as Starbucks and Tesco near by so it's very convenient in case to forget to pack something.
