I was made very welcome. It was like a family house, where there was a sitting room for guests to use. Good food and plenty of it. A restful sleep. The propietors were lovely people, who were friendly but gave you space where you needed it. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Will be back for more.
There is nothing negative to say.
Very friendly and easy to find and a good location to travel around the Island. Very easy to park and a comfortable atmosphere all round.
Made us feel most welcome on a sad occasion, food wonderful .
All six days.
Very convenient to the beach. And the bus station is only 1 minute walking distance, for foot travellers. What the best is the breakfast, very nice!
All was great. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Food very good.
The welcome made you feel like family, the rooms were comfy and well equipped, fantastic breakfasts and a lovely intimate bar with reasonable prices. And it was only 5 mins walk from the high street and the beach.
Having not had a 'bed and breakfast' experience for several years, I was not sure what standard to expect. The standard set was very high, with the breakfast quality a highlight. Quality of décor first rate.
Shower water pressure
Our stay couldn't have been any better. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delightful, the dining room was lovely and the ability to have coffee in the room before going down to breakfast was convenient. The location allows for an easy walk to the beach, pier, shopping and many restaurants. The Denewood and it's owners were very charming and I would highly recommend a stay there.
Internet in the room was difficult to keep connected. Streaming and uploading photos was a challenge.
Hi Yogen Location & cleanliness is veery good. The hotel is near to bus stop and beach
The bed was to die for. Best nights sleep for a long time. Food was excellent. Top value for money. Would definitely have a return visit
Only criticism is that the shower was far to small, couldnt turn around and nowhere to put shower gel etc.
Everything about The Denewood was good. Roger and Sandra were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
GOOD LOCATION FEW MINUTES WALK FROM SEAFRONT/HOPS/BARS ECT GREAT BRAKFAST ROGER AND SANDRA VERY WELCOMING WE DID'NT USE THEM BUT HAS BAR AND GARDEN AREA
Great breakfast, comfortable room.Friendly family run b&b. Close to shops, beach , and buses.Easy to get around island by bus.
On suite bit small
Good location, staff helpful, clean and tidy. Full breakfast is good. Ideal for short Breaks or somewhere to stay on business trips.
The decor needs freshening up. Parking is available but only if you're lucky, if you can't get a spot or you go out for the day someone will take your spot and you could spend hours looking to park your car on the road.
The owners were very friendly. They chilled a bottle of champagne for us as it was my 60th birthday. The breakfasts were very good even though the time was a bit restricted 8.30 to 9.00 am. Very clean and tidy with lovely little lounge for guests.
Everything about the hotel was pleasant. Roger and Sandra who were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is nice and clean and well kept. There is also a very pretty garden. The location is nice and very near the seafront. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
There was nothing I didn't like...
Good size room with plenty of storage space, everything you need for a short stay. Seemed clean enough and was a lovely location for the main stretch in sandown.
The staff when we saw them were lovely, but we didn't see them at all apart from at breakfast and checkout. I didn't mind that but my other half felt it gave the bnb a bit of a poor atmosphere between guests and staff. Our bed was two singles that had been cable tied together - comfy mattresses apart from the ridge between where the two beds joined. Our bedding was old and faded, and the bottom sheet was stained. (Albeit cleaned) But for the best part of £70 a night I expect more than multi pack croissants and 4 for £1.50 happy shopper yoghurts and a banana for a continental breakfast - I don't think much thought has gone in to the quality of the food, and neither of us ate all of te eggs te next day - watery and bland. I think the decor could do with updating. There was mould forming on the ensuite ceiling, but again it was clean and it's to be expected in an internal bathroom.
I can quite honesty say that my stay at The Denewood hotel was perfect. Roger and his lovely wife made us feel extremely welcome and both our room and the breakfast were great. Location wise the hotel is a stones throw from Sandown high street and indeed the sea front. Great value for money and I would happily recommend The Denewood.
Lovely and friendly staff and very nice breakfast.
No DVD player in room
Great value, very good breakfast
Limited pressure in the shower (not a real problem)
The staffs there are very kind, they satisfied our requests very quickly. Breakfast is excellent too.
Nice family run b/b
