A very high standard of cleanliness and good decorative order.
With the hotel not having a reception area, I did not feel very safe as I had found some guests were not security conscious having found the front door not closed properly on 3 occasions. As a female on my own this did not make me feel very safe. There was a very good mirror in the bathroom, however a dressing table with a chair and mirror in the bedroom area would have been more practical for a female.
There had been leak so no hot water or heating. There is no reception - you have to ring number pinned onto locked front door - if, and that is a big if, you get hold of them they will let you in. Room is clean. Tv and shower ok. Bed clean but needs mattress protector and/or better sheets. Not a professional establishment. There is a reason this was only room available within 14 miles of Barrow when I booked. A last resort.
The room was nice and clean and got free wifi and a tv. It was really cheap.
There is nothing else than the room you get (no restaurant or similar).
Hot tap almost disconnected from the sink. Hand towel rail not fixed to the wall. To register we had to make mobile phone calls to gain access to the premises and for any other kind of aid. Being admitted to the premises by a young woman wearing pyjamas and dressing gown at 4 pm inthe afternoon.
Budget, no frills accommodation.
No eating, drinking, reception facilities. You ring a mobile number scribbled on the door for access. Elderly couple were left to operate TV with no controls - very poor and in a desolate spot!
Staff friendly & helpful - provided shampoo from their own flat
Bedside lamp didn't work & wasn't fixed as promised TV didn't work on arrival - this was fixed but subsequently discovered ITV didn't work This is not a hotel - it is a pub 3 days a week with no other facilities
It is basic accommodation, but the room is en-suite and the beds comfortable and there is a TV in the room For the solo traveller wanting somewhere cheap and basic it is a good choice. Bars and town centre are close by
Can be a bit noisy due to its location.
