the location is convenient to haslemere where our relatives live
Staff weren't proactive and welcoming and very sparse staffing. one breakfast was cold room small and dated
breakfast was very average but honestly it was the highlight of the stay
the free wifi didnt work in either ours or our friends room, very unclean with cobwebs & dust everywhere in both rooms, rude unwelcoming staff (short staffed too?) We were made to wait 10mins to check in as his collegaue was on the toilet and then the restraunt has closed, minimal help withdirections of where to go to find any hot food at all, instead we got "there's and m&s at a petrol station down the road!" oh and the bedroom window was broken and glass replaced with more that didnt even fit, you could basically put your finger through the gap to outside making our room cold where our friends room was uncomfortably hot. filled in a complaint form and waiting for a call... Not happy!
Our stay was made worth while because of the lovely walk we had around the punch bowl itself. And the over priced cafe that we had our lunch at.
The only bad thing about this hotel was the bed, it was very hard and lumpy which made it very uncomfortable and it also dipped in the middle, with stained bedsheets.
We did not like anything
Location, staff, breakfast, accommodation and excellent value for money
Tiny bit tired
The breakfast was good and location very good.
Bed was not very comfortable and only one pillow each.
Pillow too hard
Staff were fine, breakfast good & location suited us....not bad value
Room was tired re decor & I ended up cleaning cobwebs away from fittings after telling staff twice.....
Pleasant staff at all times & the breakfast was superb. Set us up for a mornings walks.
We had a £5 voucher printed from your website for use with our dinner but staff said it was no longer valid
the staff were very good. bar area and food in particular worth praising.
room was dusty and had not been totally cleaned. The hot drinks tray in particular was dirty. Breakfast was good but you had to get your own tea or coffee and tables were not cleared. This may be because of staff shortages. They could certainly use more staff.
four poster bed ,and it was large
bed too hard
Hotel location, good breakfast, nice feel to hotel and nice size room, room nice and warm.helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful. Had an enjoyable stay.
Mattress not very comfortable and bed for my 16 yr old daughter not adequate.wi fi dropping out and difficult to get signal.
Desserts here are awesome!!
Quick evening meal service.
Noise in car park late at night and also transporter lorries arriving with cars to offload at garage across the road kept waking me up. Gave up waiting after 20 minutes on the second morning for someone to take my cooked breakfast order
bedroom, food and staff all good.
I book the hotel as it said was it was 6 miles to where I was going the next day it turns out that it was 19miles and took 1.20 mins to get there. and was late for my meeting :(
Great professional staff, nice time spend it, good money for great service thank you
hard, not cooked properly vegetables on lunch:)
Friendly staff except day time barman.
Room had noisy machinery near it and barman was so miserable but we think he was new as rest of staff were lovely.
Excellent, friendly and attentive attitude from staff. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Good breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Would recommend to other travellers coming in to the area. Excellent location for the Devil's Punchbowl and walking too!
Overall good value for the price paid
Building a bit run down and in need of some tlc. A slight problem when coming back to the room late at night and the magnetic card door key did not work, luckily reception was manned and it was sorted but would have been a real worry if reception had closed as we would not have been able to get into the room.
The room looked lovely and location was in a perfect spot for my planned walk. When I asked for fried bread with my breakfast, that was no problem and I received a lovely English breakfast with fried bread :-)
Unfortunately the TV was at an angle to the bed and some distance away so was not easy to view. The bed was rather hard and some fruit available at breakfast would be good.
The location was handy for business. The water pressure in the bathroom was fantastic and hot water was plentiful. Pump bottle soap, soap/shampoo, and moisturizer was provided. Good free WiFi.
The room was cold; the temperature of the radiators was tepid and it was snowing outside. The thermostat on the bedroom radiator was broken off and missing with the needle of the valve fully out, so it should have been very warm indeed. There were promises of a heating engineer coming the next day, but that was no good for my one night stay! I had to drive to a store in Liphook and buy a fan heater for the night. Initially, I had thought that the fault lay with air in the radiators, and the one in the bathroom did need to be bled badly which I did. But tepid water can only do so much, even with a full radiator. The bath was obviously, in the dim distant past, the type that had a built in jacuzzi style bubbler system, now defunct with the controls broken. The whole place gives an air of clinging onto viability by its fingertips. It is in desperate need of investment. The overall feel is of a very, very tired hotel. Easily accessible areas were clean, but less accessible ones had a build up of dust. Talk from the bar penetrated the bedroom. The furniture was past its best with ring marks and chips aplenty. The clientele seemed to be, almost uniformly, contractors, tradesmen and those whose companies obviously wanted to accommodate them in the cheapest rooms available in the area. Breakfast was distinctly average; boxes of cereal, DIY toast in a slow four slice toaster, orange juice and 'Full English' or poached eggs on toast etc.
near to where I needed to be. May have had a better opinion of the hotel if I had been there in the Summer??
The bed was uncomfortable. I did not eat in the dining room in the evening as I was a female alone and would have found this intimidating.
The location is stunning.
The bathroom was no very clean and the shower head was broken. No extra pillows and the room was very hot. There was no choice with the full English breakfast and it was sadly lacking in both quality and quantity.
Comfy bed and clean room. Staff friendly but remote.
Poor sound proofing between rooms. Too small TV with Freeview ok but not enough choice. Staff presented as friendly but did not seem genuine. Language and nuance problems maybe.
