The evening meal on the first night was over cooked and was sent bac k we have stayed at this hotel many times in the last four years most disapointing

My room looked out directly onto the very busy main road and roundabout, so unfortunately, I did not get much sleep, due to inadequate double glazing and sound proofing.

The superb staff some of the best in kindness and effeciency that I have experienced in the excellantBrendt group.

Room 2

Everything was fine apart from its location directly off a noisy and busy all night motorway. The noise was non-stop in our bedroom. Anyone booking should ask for a room not facing on to the motorway at the front of th hotel.

The staff were excellent. Attentive but not overly so. Room was clean and functional, quality tv. Restaurant was excellent, good food, well presented and well served. Checkout was quick and efficient with friendly assistance with local knowledge of my onward destination- assisted by Google at reception! I would recommend this hotel to any fellow business traveller - and, if I fancied a weekend in Devon with my wife I would definitely make it my base.

Good Value with plenty of Parking

Resaturant is a bit expensive so you really need to drive to get food

Excellent service appart from the Bar Staff who were often not visable. The girls in reception and the resturant staff were very friendly and efficient.Was my parners first visit to the UK and it left him with a good impresion of the English!

Bar staff and lack of table service

Convenient to my place of work. Good price. Warm and clean, excelleng breakfast and very good welcoming staff

The staff couldn't do enough for you. The room was clean, comfortable, well equipped. We asked for quiet rooms which we got at the rear side of the hotel. The food was excellent, plenty of it although a little pricey. The bar & restaurant needed refurbishing but it was nevertheless clean just a little old fashioned.

Very convinient location travelling on to Cornwall. Hotel very clean and pleasant with extremely friendly and helpfull staff.

Everything, better than I had planned for.

My partner and I wanted to explore Exeter and it's surroundings and we used The Devon Hotel as our base. We found it to be very comfortable and clean and it was reasonably priced. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We dined in the Carriages restaurant in the evening. The meals were a little more than your average price but we didn't mind as they were cooked to perfection. All in all, we had a great experience.

I have used this hotel several times for both business and leisure. It is superior in comfort and service to Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express - at a similar price. In my experience, the best affordable option in Exeter. Ample free parking space - not available at the city centre hotels. Frequent Park-and-Ride to the city centre is nearby. Excellent cooked breakfast buffet offered.

The route comimg from the West A30 (Exeter Exit) through the Marsh Barton estate is hard to follow and poorly signposted. You need clear directions (or GPS) and need to follow carefully. It is easier from Motorway Junction 30, following the A379 - a few miles futher but less likely to get lost. Once discovered for the first time, it is easy to find again.
