Food was excellent
Bedroom too hot.
I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Devonport Hotel with 3 friends and found everything to be excellent especially the food served on the premises which we all felt was great value for money. We were that impressed we have already booked to return in 2015 a big thank you to all the staff for a great stay.
We felt the wifi could have been a little better as we could only receive it in certain rooms.
Room with a view/bay window overlooking village greenspace, very friendly staff, good food and beers!
Staff we very attentive and helpful.
The whole stay only one night but the staff food, drink outstandingly pleasant
Staff and food were great.
Wiif was spotty; inaccessible in our room.
Very spacious room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast! Hotel in a peaceful village overlooking the River Tees.
The welcome and relaxed feel. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the proprietor was friendly and helpful.
The only niggle was the lack of proper bedside lights in our room. But it did not spoil our stay.
Restaurant and all staff
Great food Great staff Great price
Large, comfortable room.
Plumbing was a bit noisy.
Everything. Nice country scenery
Excellent food welcoming bar area, with pleasant atmosphere. Parking outside the hotel, larger rooms.
The bathroom was in need of a refurb, shower worked well, but the whole room needs a facelift. No Soap ? whats that all about, surely just an oversite. Ground floor room that looked directly on to the street & car parking area, so no privacy what so ever.
Staff Lovely food Excellent value for money Breakfast was lovely
Room food and staff all good
Very friendly place. I had a surprisingly spacious single room with lovely en-suite shower room, and the delicious food and ale made it a perfect stay. I recommend it strongly.
Rooms need a bit of tlc but had a fab stay regardless will be back

noise all night !!!! Think it was night staff talking and swearing outside in garden area,
We stayed on a Wednesday night, which was quiz night. Join in if you get the chance, run really well and a good enjoyable evening.
The view from the room was of the roofof the hotel's other buildings, not good.
Fairly good breakfast
Room poor Cold at night Noisey staircase
Great bar, resturant. Great beer garden. Generally a nice place to stay
Staff were really friendly, price of the room was excellent, food was lovely, drinks not too expensive, outdoor courtyard was peaceful, picturesque walk by the river.
Double bed was two singles pushed together, cobwebs in the corner of room, weak shower.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Rooms could do with a bit of updating
