tissue box in bathroom was empty.should have asked for it to be refilled but it was a very brief visit.singing with Honley Male Voice Choir in the Priory Church Friday evening and dashed off after breakfast to sing at two more concerts in Huddersfield.
pretty much everything
Relaxed atmosphere provided by efficient staff. Room had everything one needed & more!
Bed was a bit soft. Otherwise, could not fault our stay
The staff as always were great, friendly and made you feel at home.
I have stayed at the Fell three or four times over the years. I was shocked on my return in Sept 2014 how standards had fallen. The room (01) was very hot with poor ventilation. We ate in on the first night but the menu was so basic we had to eat out the second night. I did not drive 300 miles to be offered burgers or fish and chips. I noticed that no outside guests were eating in the hotel, on my last visit it was full. We asked for permint tea, not available. We asked for Elderflower in the bar before dinner, not available. I asked for a double expresso with hot milk for breakfast, not available. What a shame that a small hotel in one of the most beautiful parts of the Dales has just been let to go down hill.
dog hairs in room and dander apparent even after so-called 'deep clean' Dining room chairs unfit for purpose. Poorly stocked bar Cold coffee presented at breakfast. Fell breakfast below par.
so few staff
The setting The room The location The view The most comfy bed. The quiet. The complementary items: 2 different flavours of drinks plus bottled water... And bath/shower items. Breakfast was lush. Sunday morning complementary papers in the conservatory with a view to take your breath away. Warm welcome from helpful staff. Local taxi number given which saved us at least £5.
When we got back from an evening in local area, there was no one to answer the door. After ringing the bell numerous times, I had to go around the building to find someone to let us in. Found someone in the kitchen who took us through the hotel to give us our key. No real harm done.. Just a bit worrying to begin with.
The relaxed atmosphere, the decor, the beautiful setting.
Having stayed here many times before and enjoyed relaxing in the conservatory we did not appreciate being unable to use it on this occasion. A shooting party had exclusive use. We were not made aware of this before our visit.
Room and bathroom very good, clean and comfortable. In room supplies really good - cafetiere, soft drinks, water, nibbles. Evening meal food very good, waiting staff friendly. Looked after our bikes, let us use a hose to clean them off!
very poor range of breakfast cereals just cornflakes and bran flakes - no muesli, granola or weetabix. Reception area not particularly welcoming - could do with brightening up.
Good food And nice modern room facilities.
Position Food Decore Mostly Friendly Staff
Light in bathroom not working Shower drainage poor Overcharged!
That I asked for an up grand on the room and had a meal on the first night of are say, over a month ago by phone so I was not pleased when we arrive to them to say they had no information about this.this was for my boyfriend's Birthday treat so I was not happy
The location was superb
Unfriendly and not too clean
The food was excellent The location beautiful Olilves and nibbles on the bar The front lounge and views The friendly staff, especially breakfast staff.
Lipstick on wine glasses at dinner 7.30 booking for dinner, ate at 8.45 Steamed up double glazing in room - couldn't see the wonderful view NO FRIDGE IN ROOM - all complimentary drinks lukewarm NO AIR CONDITIONING IN ROOM - ROOM TOO HOT - couldn't cool it down at night. BATHROOM FLOOR NOT CLEANED IN TWO DAYS - hair from previous guest there throughout our stay On arrival Sunday afternoon, carpets needed good hoover. Front lounge a disgrace. Over indulgence of Cala Lillies - flowers drooping over food at breakfast. Dining chairs were most uncomfortable - dirty- with lots of food and crumbs on them at breakfast. Private party in lounge, nowhere to sit prior to dinner. The location of our room - top floor - this wasn't pointed out when we booked. My partner has a disability that effects his breathing. No Lift
friendly staff. Views
No soap in room. Items on menu not then on plate when meals arrived
Beautifully decorated hotel with real style. Wonderful location. A Place to come back to time after time
courteous,helpful, friendly staff.peace and quiet.superb views from room.good food.fortunate with good weather
unfortunately television broke last evening there although managed a video.presented with wine list but the wine wanted was unavailable
A beautiful room with excellent facilities. A very comfortable stay.
Evening dinner was a little overpriced, particularly when the evening main course was insubstantial (duck) and the food should have been brought to the table much hotter.
A warm and welcoming atmosphere, with helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful location too.
The food was particularly good.
There was no single malt whisky.
