bus stop in front of the house and 10 min to the center
I liked everything
Kind personnel, easy access to the city centre (bus stop next to the hotel entrance).
Bad wifi signal in rooms
Location is ok.
Very nice, Comfortable quiet room. Friendly helpful staff. Pleasant stay. Thank you.
All to liking.
I liked this guest house very much - large, clean well, equiped rooms; lovely modern bathrooms with hairdryers etc. Nice gardens, large sitting area on the ground floor. Polite and helpful staff, lovely breakfast. etc etc
Had only one real comment here - felt every single bed spring. Would be a good idea to have thicker over mattresses to allow for better sleep....
The girl in charge was very helpful and very kind. There was a bus stop directly across from the house, so easy to get down to Oxford. Breakfast was good.
The floor in the room didn't appear to be vacuumed from one day to the next. The parking was challenging. The house seemed to a labyrinth with a large gym between our room and the eating area.
Very helpful staff, Free parking on site, Good breakfast, Bus stop with direct access to Oxford Centre just outside the guest house.
We've chosen a family room for four people, but is was a bit small. The restroom was tiny. WiFi unusable in room, but worked reasonable in the restaurant.
-location was satisfactory
-furnishings old-red carpet on floor in room colour had run into bathroom floor -beds uncomfortable -no maps or information about area available for visitors -meals not memorable-coffee horrible -parking tight and difficult -poor value for money!
Full English breakfast
Quiet and friendly b&b. An easy walk or bus ride from downtown. A couple of nice pubs nearby.
No top sheets or facecloths but that seemed normal for the UK.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good location and excellent breakfast.
Decor needs a little TLC in some areas, for the price charged, I expected a little more. Pleasant but not quite worth the price
Clean, friendly, cheery place
WiFi absolutely does not work on the top floor, avoid that floor if you want WiFi in your room.
Central location Breakfast ok Parking
Mattresses need to be changed Noisy rooms
Lovely, very clean and spacious room, comfortable beds. Accommodating staff. Lots of choices on breakfast menu. My 4 and 2 year olds loved the nearby children's playground and large park. Very easy access to London by bus, and Oxford city center.
Very restricted and early breakfast hours: 7-8:30.
Too far from anything. Unfriendly staff. Not helpful. Uncomfortable rooms.
Very convenient for public transport to/from Oxford Centre. Car park. Good size room and ensuite. Good english breakfast. Friendly staff
TV signal was intermittent.
Comfortable spacious and clean bedroom. Good breakfast. Parking
Wifi was slow.
Good place to stay close to oxford, beda were not the most comfortable, but good homely feeling and eoom setup made for a comfy stay
Good, comfortable beds. Powerful shower. The recently refurbished bathroom was excellent. Peaceful room, as requested, with views over a mature garden. Good location for access to Oxford city centre
Not a dislike, as such; but in an Oxford guest house, it was rather startling to find two thirds of an enormous lounge area taken up by physical exercise keep-fit equipment. Has the space been rented out to a keep-fit organisation? If so, this should be mentioned in the guest house's prospectus.
Nice room, good breakfast.
I reported a defective and potentially dangerous TV set, but nothing was done about it. I also reported a broken and unusable shower soap tray. Again, nothing was done about it.
Breakfast staff were very nice. The place grew on us while we were there
Didappointing that we couldn't use the gym. We may have mid interpreted the promotional material
The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. The B&B is very cute
The TV was very small and the rooms were very noisy. There was a group of students staying there and I could here then talking in the hall and in their rooms
Breakfast only as of 07.30 hrs. WiFi quality poor Old House but renovated
The location was very convenient, with the bus to downtown Oxford stopping right outside the door, and one to London just a couple of blocks away. Also, it was a pleasant walk of just over two miles down a hill to the center city (you might want to take the bus back uphill). The neighborhood it's in, Headington, has a very pleasant atmosphere and several informal but very good restaurants of various cuisines, and there are two large, beautiful parks nearby. The B&B has a pretty backyard garden, and the room was sunny and clean. The wi-fi worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms looked newly remodeled.(The bedrooms did not.) The manager let me print out boardiing passes from her computer without charge, and she held on to our bags for a few hours after checkout so we could visit town one more morning before going back to London.
It's not exactly luxurious. The entry hall and stairways are a bit shabby. There's a modern back room that was added and looks onto the garden, but it shares space with a personal trainer's exercise equipment (not for guests' use; there are no exercise facilities for guests). The rooms have limited dresser space if you plan to stay several days; they're fine for a day or two. The breakfast was ample but routine. The hours are somewhat limited. We didn't try any other meals there, if there were. We were given only one key, for both the front door and our room, which was a problem when two in our family went for a walk and couldn't alert the others. (You have to buzz to alert whoever's running the house at that moment, and we didn't want to do that on a Sunday evening.)
nice, friendly and a good English breakfast
