From the moment I entered the beautiful location, I was acknowledged and could see though staff were busy, they were happy in there work, friendly, engaging and attentive.
Manager, Graham was wonderful (I was upgraded to a better room) and after talking with him about my personal reasons for the break, from that point on, staff went that extra mile to make my overnight stay (wish I could have stayed longer) a pleasure.
Room was lovely; small but perfectly formed (as they say) with a brand new bathroom, with quality toiletries and I sunk into the bath and gave over the pleasures of the lovely hot water (which did not leak out, like it is want to do at other hotels).
The morning I had booked a trip very early, but having slept in later than normal, I had to rush to leave before my breakfast (including in the already great price) could be served.
The assistant on breakfast was on her own, so had many patrons to serve, running around to make sure we were all catered for (nice to see that breakfast was catered for, individually, not the normal congealed rubbish, left out for all manner of flying creatures to walk upon).
I explained I was in a rush and as only wanted the breakfast sandwich (from a fairly large choice of breakfast sandwiches) of Cumberland Sausage and egg), was offered the choice of taking it away and her bringing it up to my room, when it had been freshly prepared (as she was so busy and accommodating, I refused to let her come and find me and said I would make my way down).
Upon coming back down to check out, my hot, large sandwich had been wrapped in thick foil and was handed to me, upon which point, I thanked her and asked her to thank the staff team, when she asked how my stay had been.
