Great location with good local restaurants
Bathroom very small
Friendly staff, decent location, spacious room.
it's an old house with an ancient elevator (2 people max, have to close doors when leaving so others can use it)
Large rooms high ceilings
Elevator is difficult to use but a true antique!
The staff were super helpful and very friendly. As the hotel is not on a main road, I had a nice quiet night. The room had very good WIFI connection and the temperature of the room was pleasant. The bathroom was fine, albeit a little small [Shower over bathtub] and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. In the room I had several pillows to choose from for my bed which was a welcome surprise. The breakfast room was light and airy and service was great. Food and drink was replenished regularly.
Upon arrival I got thoroughly confused by the sign that the tap water in the bathroom was not safe for drinking. Haven't come across this for a while in the UK. I searched arround unsuccessfully for bottled water and phoned reception for assistance. Imagine my embarrassment when within seconds a nice staff member brought me bottled water and I realised that right in front of my room they had actually provided a water cooler/filter. Oh dear. Anyway: breakfast was basic but adequate and none of the guests left hungry. My room would have benefitted from a good vacuuming and my single bed needed a new mattress. The switch on the bedside light had some awful food remnants on it which I had to clean off with a tissue. The hotel decor has not been updated for a long time but the helpful staff made up for what it lacked in style.
It was a lovely surprise to have a heater in are room when we got back Saturday night as we were cold and wet.
Clean, comfortable, quiet. Normal English breakfast. Water fountains on each floor. Great location, safe neighbourhood. Super nice staff, from receptionists to the breakfast waitress.
The room was small, but the value for the money in that neighbourhood is still great. Don't get surprised by the vintage elevator.
very well situated, Close to Belgravia Place
quite small single rooms
Cozy and comfort room, friendly staff, good price, good location(neighborhood area), Cleanness and FANTASTIC BREAKFAST
no WiFi , No minibar except after I requested it many times, rooms are not airconditioned , small rooms not as appear in photoes, breakfast some items finished with no replacement and if I asked they said it is finished and no other, also few varietes of items in beackfast
Nice hotel in a nice neighborhood, with friendly staff. A charming old house, nice comfortable rooms (only 26 of them) , full English breakfast, close to Sloane sq.
good location, nice staff, excellent breakfast
walls not thick enough. Someone slamed the door each dawn. room hot, although we were there in autumn
The bed , coffee and tea
Shower cubicle too small shower slow . Lift only upto floor 3 . No value for money .
Staff was exceedingly nice, friendly, kind, sweet, welcoming, helpful, gentle, lovely, trustful, etc.
I had a basement room, which I found out only once I was there. Disliked the fact that I booked a regular room for a higher price & was then faced with the fact of being downstairs. It was ok despite of the fact that people did walk by (e.g. staff) in the early morning hours. Apparently my initial booking was given away, fair enough the price ended up being somewhat lower. Yet being informed ahead of time is the best way of dealing with customers! That is why I give a "good" for value for money.
Very nice people at reception Good breakfast Fair price
Room was small Window was old
Pleasant service, peaceful neighbourhood. Pretty good sleep. Relatively clean.
Old, not very good condition, no stores nearby, no tube stops nearby.
Lovely quiet location, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast plentiful! Decor a bit tired and dated but everything clean and comfortable, so couldn't ask for anything else!
To be nearer to the tube station
See above - a bit far away from shops etc
The Diplomat hotel was well located to shop and see the sights of London. The hotel was very pleasant and good value for money considering it's location. I would definitely return.
There was no parking for the hotel. But within a 10 minute walk the Q park Pimlico had a car park which cost £24 for 24 hrs. Other car parks in the area cost at least double for 24 hrs
Good location for shopping. Hotel itself and staffs also good!
Comfy beds not too soft, very friendly staff and good English Breakfast. Needs a bit of TLC as starting to get shabby. Good location. Water fountain on each floor for tea making. Luggage lock up useful.
Location Breakfast included Helpful Staff
Unable to drink tap water No Face clothes Available Noisy Street No air Conditioning
The hotel is in an old and charming historic Victorian building. The rooms are clean and comfortable but the bathrooms so uncomfortable for many different reasons. They really need a renovation! The breakfast is very simple and exactly the same every single day. The location is very good, within walking distance to Victoria Station, which takes you everywhere. Very good internet as well. The service is unstable, every day I had to ask for something missing in the room. The staff is friendly, highlighting Danillo who was exceptional making me feel so welcomed and comfortable and helping me with everything. Thanks Danillo!
Breakfast, bathroom, there is no air conditioning.
I didn't like that I was asked for my credit card as soon as I walked in the door, total of accomodation was taken without being informed and we wanted to pay cash , he reversed transaction and it cost me 40 dollars conversion fee because of his lack of communication, disgraceful
I arrived before noon so the maids hadn't done my room yet but the excellent receptionist gave me another room instead.
Very friendly and hospital. Thanks to him we printed our airplane tickets and transportation methods.
