In arrival we has to wait 15 minutes until a member of staff arrived to help us. When we got up on Sunday for breakfast at the arranged time of 8am, the place was locked up, no staff and no breakfast. We had to leave from a different entrance, letting ourselves out and leaving the key. I was disgusted for a hotel that included breakfast not to have it on offer, we were on a two day course and it was not what we expected. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place on this basis.

We were going to a wedding near by and it was very handy for the venue. Small thing but when you moved in bed the head board banged the wall

The location The bathroom and its fittings were extreemly poor and needed immediate attention. The hotel were advised of all the items at checkout. They did not offer any recompense.

Pleasant rooms, very clean and generous with the tea/coffee making facilities. The bar serves very good and moderately priced food with a choice of vegetarian options. On Saturdays breakfast isn't served until 8am so be aware that it might be a problem if you are making an early start.

Location was fine. Proximity to town centre perfect. The hotel appears to be stuck in the 1970's. Really does need a bit of tlc and bringing up to date.

The hotel was very clean. My room was wonderful, spotless also the bathroom. I ate there in the evening also. The home made food was lovely and plenty of it. Enjoyed the breakfast too. A big thank you to Tracie whom was so helpful in helping me find the place that I was going to. A big car park. Look forward to my return trip.

The location was convenient as we'd walked the Sandstone Trail. Out of three nights booked along the trail, this was the most expensive yet the least good value for money. Decor is very tired, the shower was out of date and the power pitiful, breakfast was basic compared to what many B&Bs offer these days. We were vacated from room by the fire alarm going off yet no explanation was given...no staff appeared...no apology for a false alarm...

Comfortable and convenient in an area where there is not a great deal of choice. Poor choice at buffet breakfast table. Had to request refills of bread (only wholemeal offered), milk and marmalade. The fruit was never replenished. Breakfast was from 8am - 10am and we arrived at 9am.

Went to a wedding near by. Phoned well in advance to ask if we could check in earlier than 2.30. Wedding started 2.00. No way could we check in between 02.30 and 10.00. Got there 12.00.. Your room might be ready 13.00 no guarantee. Asked if we could have a sandwich and a cup of tea. No staff were there to make a sandwich. Gave up and were given a store room to change our clothes!! Then we left our over night bag for them to put in room for when we came back at night.. At this point we had not seen our room.Came back 12.30 at night. Room was small and dirty. Went to bed. At 02 00 somebody fell either down the stairs or against our door. Blood everywhere outside, lots of talking, somebody tried to get in to our room with their key!!!. We never slept at all after that. Had no sleep all night. Went for breakfast 08 00 and could not wait to get out of there. Understand it is not staffs fault that some people cant t behave but of course over all will never ever stay there again.

The staff were friendly on arrival. The bedroom and double bed were 'snug'. The plumbing was not great - badly leaking bath/shower connector meant bath had to be filled with shower head. Breakfast - limited range. On checkout was barely acknowledged when handing over key and given no opportunity to tell them about plumbing. Not great value for money compared with other places stayed this week.

It suited our needs but it wasnt a luxury, romantic break, just somewhere to sleep. The room definately needs updating, felt like I was in the 70's, somewhere a more mature couple may prefer perhaps??
