The staff and rooms here were fantastic but sadly the Dolfor Inn is closing down on 04 October 2014. A real shame as it's a gem of a place in a lovely quiet location and the rooms are all refurbished and spotless.
lovely comfy room.
breakfast staff a bit off.
Very clean, quiet, modern decor in old character room. Lots of space in the triple room & perfect location.
Poor wifi reception in the room. Extra cost for breakfast.
Breakfast to die for. Evening menu plenty of choice, Great Beer especially the Butty Bach. :-) A pub with character full of characters.
No lampshade on the ceiling light.
The hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom with the free standing bath was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful and the food was first class. The nicest meal we have had in a long time. The hotel and food was excellent value for money. Will definitely be recommending this hotel to family and friends.
Due to the weather conditions we felt the room could have been a little bit warmer. Obviously at this time of the year, no heaters were set to come on which is understandable as it is summer!!
Food Cleanliness Friendly staff Location
Room small with no wardrobe or chest of drawers Shared bathroom
The room was newly refurbished, roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was good value for money.
The bar was a bit intimidating on arrival. Wondered what we has walked into. But the restaurant and rooms were excellent.
Friendly staff. Great value breakfast. Lovely views from the room
Had to check in at the pub bar. Not a big deal, but don't expect a hotel reception (it is an inn after all)
Friendly helpful staff .Great food at good prices
The room was clean spacious and the bed comfortable.
There was only one bedside table and only a very small shelf holding the kettle etc, no table or desk. Worryingly there appeared to be no staff on the premises overnight as in the morning we could not get into the dining room and along with two other sets of guests were kept waiting nearly an hour before someone arrived in a car to cook our breakfast! And, when it did appear it was not particularly good.
Historic building with panoramic views
The terrible electronic music video they played which spoils the ambience of this ancient Inn. If they have to play something - make it middle of the road music.
Food Staff Bathroom
Single beds too narrow Bed side lamps not working No seats in room
Location, very good real ale, friendly people.
shared bathroom between three bedrooms
Needed to work..and not in the bar...which is where the only seats were. Not a seat nor table in the room, actually sat on the floor with notebook on lap.. Bed was less than a single. Cant check in til 6pm but must leave by 10-30 am Hotel its not, overpriced converted pub no more than an average b&b..Ive stayed in better for half the price.
The rooms are furnished to a very nice standard, and the the staff were more than happy to cook after the kitchen had closed and came in early to give an earlier breakfast.
no wi fi signal in the rooms
Lovely room & bar, breakfasts superb.Obviously ingedients are locally sourced. would use again & have recommended it to friends.
Breakfast cook needed a waiter to assist them. A hair drier in room would be a bonus Big let down!!!urine stains down front of toilet bowl. Tea/coffee tray not refreshed for second night
The beds and facilities were excellent and well worth the stay!
Breakfast the first morning was lovely but our second morning breakfast was practically self service and scrambled eggs came out dry as cardboard.
The property is in a very quiet location, off the main road. Views were great. Our bedroom & bathroom was lovely we had two windows and had great views. Tea & coffee facilities, which included biscuits. We had breakfast which was an additional £5.00 each it was very nice, traditional english, with toast & tea/coffee but there was no offer of any type of cereal.
Wi-fi was only available down in the lounge bar, although they did say that they hope to remedy this soon.
Breakfast. Toast, bacon rather overcooked. Bacon oily and overcooked and was firm to chew.
Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful bedroom and bathroom
Helpful from start to finish, very peaceful. Room 5 very spacious and airy. Food very good and plenty of it,we would not hesitate to stay again.
Pity about Wifi only in small bar area but hey! not the end of the world.
The room was beautifully done with a gorgeous ensuite bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The Wifi didn't work in the bedroom tho it did down in the bar so I was able to use it there.
Rooms were nice and clean and looked recently refurbished. Location was ok but no facilties near by.
Booked this place for an overnight stop on a busy running weekend for 8 people wanted to get there eat food and get our heads down for an early start. We had problems the week before when the hotel didn't seem to know we had booked with booking. Com 8 mths before. This was sorted by booking. Com and all would have been ok until we got a call from the hotel in the afternoon of our stay to say they couldn't do food.this caused us inconvenience as there is no where local to get food we ended up driving to a pub which the owner said was 3 miles away but was actually 8 miles away which meant by the time we got there and back it was a lot later than we had anticipated. Also no discount for shared bathrooms and an extra £5 for breakfast which apparently they could do sven though the reason given for no food was there was a problem with the kitchen and it was closed but would be fixed by the morning! !
great food, nice and confy
Very Quiet, food was fantastic, breakfast was immense
If you are arriving late on a Sunday and need food, call ahead to make sure they know you are on your way. I arrived just in time to have a fantastic roast, but i would have preferred a little more time to decide what I would like after a 5 hour drive.
