Friendly staff, always helpful. Breakfast was good and quickly served.
It is so hot in the hotel. Unfortunately the room next door had the TV on late and we could hear every word so didn't sleep very well.
Great price, marvellous location, lovely staff and excellent breakfast.
The indoor pool is possibly a bit on the small side if it's busy.
Excellent food, service and room. Totally enjoyed staying at the Doric Hotel. Lovely sea view room.
I cannot fault the Doric Hotel. There was nothing i did not like.
Great value got money.. Spotless clean.. Food great... Staff friendly and always happy to help especially Stuart from the bar.. Great hotel overall and always happy to stay here..
Was very busy with lots of children from dancing competition so they were running about outside the rooms most of night.. And not many spaces to sit..
Food and table service excellent. A 'family' atmosphere throughout our stay.
Showers a bit 'weak', but perfectly usable. No other comments
Tram stops outside the hotel, nice breakfast, pool and hot tub child friendly, room modernised and spacious, was very good value for family
Hot bar snacks would be great in the evening, nearly £5 for a sandwich is far to much
Staff very helpfully and polite. Food and service very good. Entertainment & bingo
Noisey bed when rolled over
Great location. Clean warm and welcoming hotel with indoor pool as a bonus!
Everything about the place is really nice
The rooms are a bit dated but very clean and comfortable
Took our grandson, was very in-pressed with kids entertainer took the pain out of passing a couple of hours after returning from seeing the lights
The cold weather, but what can you expect at the end of October. N.B. half term at his school
Friendly staff service good
The interest for using a credit card 3% on top of the bill
service , meal choice, bars, waiter service,
rooms need updating, poor decor, but bathroom good.
Breakfast was good tram stop right outside Only short walk to Bispham kitchen for fish and chips
Decor very old fashioned very hot rooms and nois with windows open as kitchens below tiny lift
The close proximity to an old watering house.
A bit far out but easily accessible on the tram or bus.
The hotel is clean and tidy but very tired. Good breakfast. Staff, were in general friendly.
The bedroom and bathroom was from the 1990's like visiting your grans house and shower was a trickle. The room itself was in need of modernisation.I was disappointed, the pictures from the website did not resemble any of the 3 rooms we received. For the price it was ok but there may be better for the same price so I would look at others in future.
Staff were excellent!... Breakfast was brilliant!... Tram stop straight outside!
Creaky floor and noise at night as room was directly above showbar!... So no sleep til midnight!... In family room?!...after a tiring day!
The staff were all very good, friendly and helpful. Meals were good and plentiful with the staff again very thoughtful. Sitting in the area at the front of the hotel was great and on the last day it was warm enough to sit by the outdoor pool. At the time of year a mostly "mature" crowd of people was very good. Parking was not a problem because of the time of year but would be bad during the high season.
The first room needed repairing so we were switched to another, better room. The reception area is poky and needs relocating and updating. Night time entertainment was poor. A bit mean only providing biscuits in the room on the first day, penny pinching.
It was clean comfortable and the food was good .
The view from room wasn't good .
restaurant food good.james the manager.very helpful.
air.con. too cold at breakfast.
Cleanliness. Good customer service.
Dreadful shower. Hotel is stuck in the 80's.
to hot in the bedrooms
The entertainment was good in the evening
The size of the pool was very disappointing unable to swim in it
Evening meal and breakfast was very nice.
The staff where not like they have been in the past when we have stayed. I went to order something to eat at the bar at around 10pm as in the room there was a menu which said they serve until 11pm. The girl behind the bar was abrupt.
the staff and dinning room were very good the food good and hot
The room was very small and uncomfortable, the television was older than me and the phone was just for show it did not work bar closed at 11 each night even if there were guests still there
We only booked bed & breakfast the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good lot's of choice. Good service by staff. Would book a refurbished room next time with a view. Children's entertainer was good especially the candy floss he gave out.
The room we had needed updating didn't like the ceiling tiles felt a little oppressive & bathroom was in need of refurbishment although it was very clean. Didn't like the noise from room above sounded like the kids were jumping off the beds all the time even at 6am. Also some inconsiderate guests were smoking in their room.
