We have just spent three nights at The Down Inn. The staff were so friendly. Their full English breakfast was served very hot and very tasty. The Carvery was the best we have had. The service was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and very clean. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special. Thank you.
The only negative I can think of is the view onto the car park from room 4. This would be improved with the addition of blinds. There is a good view from the second window in this room. We got a great deal on our stay and would stay here again as the positives far outweigh the negative.
Friendly Welcome, Clean room, Lovely Meal
My Breakfast was spoiled by the fresh fruit tasting as if it had been out a day or two, my wife's cooked breakfast was fine - minor quibble, would still stay here again.
The staff were so friendly, very helpfull, the room was clean and very comfy.
There was nothing to complain about
The room was really lovely good quality facilities , breakfast was brilliant
Lovely spacious room and very nicely furnished. Good wifi. Great carvery meal on Sunday night.
Carpet in hallways needs replacing.
I liked/enjoyed everything. I would stay there everytime without question, unfortunately it's just a little too far out of the way for my needs.
I can't think of anything i didn't like
Just about everything!
Would have liked a smaller portion option on the excellent food
Situated in a peaceful setting. Access to bedrooms for unloading luggage good. Food excellent. Staff very welcoming.Would definitely return if ever in area again.
Good location, good food, good sized room.
Very Small bathroom
Staff we're brilliant.
Breakfast Staff Parking
Stuffy room Noise from ventilation Smell of cooking in our room from the restaurant Wooden frame bed, with protruding corners. Easy to knock legs. Very early breakfast times. No clock in the room. No air conditioning.
The bedroom accommodation was of excellent size and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent especially the cooked sausage and bacon
The carvery in the evening whilst excellent in quantity was not hot enough ,a common fault with carvery when food is under heating lights
We used The Down Inn as an overnight stop on the way to North Wales. What a great move that was. Excellent place and really good value for money..... and the Carvery was great. We will certainly be back to maybe tour around the local area.
Nothing to speak of.
We like The Down Inn very much. We have stayed many times before and cannot recommend it enough. The staff are great and the food is very good as usual.
Rooms could do with a tidy over, fill in the cracks and a lick of paint
The Down Inn is a small country pub very close to Bridgnorth & other places of interest. The rooms are well appointed & comfortable & the staff are very helpful.
I sometimes eat only eat vegetarian food & I found the menu a bit limited. But I am sure that the chef could have made something for me if required.
This is a friendly place, well known in the area for its good food, approx 3 miles out of town, and very quiet. I was a lone female traveller, but I was made welcome, shown to a secluded table for my evening meal so that I did not feel uncomfortable. That consideration is rare. The staff were polite, efficient and friendly. My room was clean, comforatable, and had a phone to contact reception, should I need anything. If business takes me in that area again, I will stay there, and would recommend.
Comfortable rooms, quiet location, good selection of well prepared food and friendly capable staff.
What is not to like?
Lovely location Rooms are really nice Staff are very helpful and nice Superb food
I'm sure on line it stated check out at 12 when it was actually 11 but that's all!
Spacious and clean room. Excellent food. Good value for money.
Spacious and well equipped modern rooms.
Stair carpet grubby
We stayed as the Bridgnorth Jazz Festival started at The Down. Everything was good. Carvery was excellent. Loved the total darkness at night!
The one disappointment was a big bowl of strawberry yogurts at breakfast. Searched in vain for a plain one.
We need to use rooms with disabled facilities. The facilities here are good, every thing is accessible on one level. Wet room is a good size and has all you need. Food was very good particularly the carvery. All the staff where very helpful and friendly.
The toilet seat needs replacing in room 9.
Very friendly & attentive staff. Good atmosphere & excellent food. The room was spacious & well appointed. A lovely country setting
