Busy Bar ok if you get to eat in the small function side room
Rooms where very modern, shower was huge! And bed very comfy. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the morning. This hotel is great value for money.Would definitely recommend and hopefully stay again.
I was happy overall.
The Hotel is very nice and the executive room is very comfortable
There is nothing to do in Barrow in Furness Go any where else but there
Room and bathroom facilities are very good
We have stayed in this hotel three times now and it's perfect for a short break or weekend away. Nice comfy spacious clean rooms. Polite and helpful staff. The breakfast is very tasty, can't fault it, good choice of foods.
The only negative is the car park is accross a busy road and not right next to the hotel but other than that can't fault it.
The room was beautiful, the staff were all welcoming and extremely efficient and the food in the restaurant was spectacular! Fantastic!
Only criticism I can give is that the breakfast could have been better - having eaten in the restaurant the previous evening I had high standards, but there was little left at the Continental table and the fry-up was dry and not very well done.
Internet worked no problems no charge no password
Room smelled of formaldehyde, possibly due to inadequate airing after carpet cleaning. There was no gym or even a small room with a coiple of machines to work out. This hotel is not in a touristic area, and given the general lack of competing facilities and wealthy visitors to the area, I think they do the best they can. Staff were friendly and eager to help. If you want a slightly retro English hotel experience in the North with a nice pub and a fire below, it may be just your cup of tea.
The hotel, room, bar, bistro, in fact everything was lovely & clean. Staff were very helpful, chatty & polite. Had a great meal, looked after by Chris & Tom and an enjoyable evening in the bar. Breakfast was good and again we were looked after well. All in all, A lovely nights sleep after a great night in the bistro & bar. Would definitely stay again (room 211)
The room was totally amazing! We booked an executive room and I requested one of the rooms I saw in the photos with the exposed beams and roll top bath- the lady I spoke to on the phone was more than happy to assign us a room on the top floor. The bathroom was beautiful, the bath especially. The room itself was spacious, comfy and luxurious with a living room area with seating and a tv, with bedroom attached. The bed was huge and so comfy. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful hotel. We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor, great room & hotel facilities and a lovely nights sleep. Hotel staff very helpful & friendly and a great atmosphere in the bar. Breakfast was perfectly cooked. Didn't eat in the Vaults but would eat there when staying again. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice friendly staff. Good breakfast (only stayed one night)
Car park over the road.
The food in the restaurant was exceptionally good quality. Friendly staff and beautiful room, would definitely stay there again.
Only disappointing thing was the music was on quite late and we were on first floor, other than that a perfect stay.
We stayed in the executive suite and were not dissatisfied. It was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was also lovely!
Food and service was excellent
The noise from the road as our room was overlooking it but, to be fair, there's not much anyone can do about that
Staff were helpful and friendly, room was amazing particularly for the price we paid and food was lovely.
Nothing it was brilliant definitely recommend!
The bed was comfortable and the bath was great.
Couldn't sleep with the noise of the doors banging. There was hairs in the bed and bath and dust on the bathroom blind
Great staff, very friendly. Room very comfortable. Ate in reasturant food was very good. Would happily stay again. Thanks
Everything. Clean, spacious, well equipped room. Good quality furnishings and toiletries. An excellent selection of hot and cold food at breakfast.
everything was excellent. great bar. would stay again.
Clean, tidy, modern, friendly helpful staff, the meal in the restaurant at night was good real food and very reasonable in price. And all for £60 for the room and £40 for the meal. And that includes breakfast in the morning
With it being on a main road junction it could do with double or secondry glazing, but hey ho would still highly recomend it
Bedroom were of a high calibre equal to any 5* Breakfast was beautiful presented. Staff including the both receptionist staff very professional but very easy to talk to I always stay now at the D of Y when I stay in Barrow
Nothing could of made our stay any better
the rooms and staff
staff were attentive, breakfast was good, shower good
lots of road noise.
I stayed 2 nights: the first evening I had supper with friends in the bar/restaurant area and, therefore, brought valuable business to the hotel; on the second evening I went down to have a light bar supper and was told I had to eat in the brasserie or the dining room. when I explained that I had eaten in the bar area the night before they were pretty rude and dismissive. What was strange was that the bar area then filled with other diners wanting a similar bar eating experience. I left feeling pretty angry and confused.
Room 211 was really nice, bar area is large and welcoming
Radiator didn't work in the bathroom so it was rather chilly and I woke in the night very cold in the bedroom
