Staff were really friendly, couldn't do enough to help. The bed was amazing, so comfy! And the shower was pretty good too. Hotel was pretty, good balance of traditional and moderm facilities.

We didn't eat a really good meal (apart from hotel breakfast) while we were there- that was in the hotel and at the surrounding venue, however this may be my expectations having come from Manchester City Centre.

Very close to train station. Clean, spacious rooms. Good value for money.

Not a big fan of having to walk across a busy junction to the car park

from the moment we stepped in everything was great,fabulous room,good food,friendly staff,clean through out.would definetely recommend this hotel and if i am ever down in the area again this would be where i would stay

lift was on the slow side,we were on the first floor and could walk down quicker than the lift got us down,not really anything to complain about

I personally did not find anything to dislike.

Location, comfortable clean bed.

Creaky floors, noisy plumbing, traffic noise, no grouting left on bathroom floor tiles, musty smells.

We had the executive double room, it was very spacious and luxurious with a huge bed. The bath was the largest i have ever seen.

No fridge.

Comfortable and Clean Parking is free and opposite the hotel

The hotel was in a good location and easy to find, very clean and modern the rooms were comfortable, they gave us good advise on local amenities, we had our evening meal in the hotel which was a little on the pricey side considering the restaurant was in the bar, the breakfast was fab with a wide choice to pick from, overall couldn't fault our stay.

Waitress was taking us to our table when she spotted friends and chatted to them while we had to stand and wait for her to finish her conversation.

Loved the rooms, the decor, the staff and the gorgeous bathrooms. Also, the bar staff were great and looked after us late drinkers without any problems at all. Thank you. The breakfast was great, very hot and good quality ingredients.

I remember this hotel from years ago and you would have had to pay me to stay. What a lovely suprise, it is fab, very tidy with modern twists complementing the carfully selected older parts of the building. The room was comfortable & modern with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with a good range of choice. We were staying for a wedding and would definately recommend - a great big well done to who ever has given this place a lease of life.

One tiny little niggle - not just here - there is never a socket by the mirror, it makes it very difficult to dry your hair/get ready to go out.

A great hotel, very central. Close to the town, railway station and football ground.

I liked that it was close to Lake windermere and the beach on walney island.

wasnt to keen on barrow because it was a bit to much of a built up area. The road running outside the hotel was a bit too busy as well.

The decoration and design were great as was the room size. The food was very good. Very happy and will stay again.

Not enough pillows on the bed.

We loved our room on the third floor and the food and drink. Also admired the choice of art on the walls.

Lovely food in the restaurant at a very reasonable price with a good range of drinks in the bar! The executive room was amazing! Very spacious and well presented but still fitted the age of the building!

Entertainment catered for the older age group but we still had fun!

comfortable bed which was much appreciated after the bed at a premier inn at preston the night before!

Everything
