Nothing. After the debacle of no booking claim room had no proper en suite and was over a noisy courtyard where people were drinking until late (no objection to latter but should have been reflected in price of room. Nothing that we did like apart from a not-too-bad evening meal but the breakfast was appalling stewed tea and leathery scrambled eggs - uneatable. Will never go to the Duke William again. |

the toilet paper was soft. they blamed you for not sending our booking, the food was inedible, the tv did not work, we only had one night instead of two so had to pay out extra, very noisy and cramped, uncaring staff, overall not a good place to stay. |

The staff were welcoming and the rooms were clean and adequate. The full English breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet. Would stay there again. |

Friendly and helpful staff. For example, I mentioned I was house hunting and so members of staff drew up a list of areas they thought I might like to view; this proved most useful. As a lone traveler I felt safe and and my belongings secure. The Inn is in the center of Lincoln so being able to park and leave my car for free over four days was very convenient. The car park also has CCTV. The location of the inn could not be better, the castle, cathedral, galleries and shops are within a short walking distance. |

The Inn was situated very close to the Castle & Cathedral with good access to main shopping centres, all in walking distance. Room was clean and tidy with good facilities. Staff were polite. Sauce supplied with breakfast was not good, very tangy/vinegar overkill, bottle recently refilled! Baked beans had a similar taste. General access was through the premises with not an easy route when patrons were at the bar etc. The access from the car park was always usable but if on foot it was a long route to get their from the main street. |

Not much. The staff were very pleasant. The location was close to the cathedral and castle. It is very run down and gives the impression of not being clean. The furnishings and bathroom were awful. |

The only thing that i liked about this hotel( using the term very loosely) was leaving the dirty, tired and shabby place. We arrived, and it looked quite nice. We then went to reception that was messy and disorganised and were eventually given the key to Room 7. The room was dark, dirty and had mismatched furniture. There was blood on the bed sheets and the shower was mouldy with a broken ceiling light with exposed bare wires right next to the shower cubicle. The bathroom was that small the sink was in the bedroom. We were then moved to Room 2 after much arguing with reception, which was mildly better. The hotel bar was extremely noisy and the noise could be heard upstairs in the bedroom. On checking out we were told that there was no-one to do this and they had my card details so would just take the money- when i stated i wanted a receipt i was told tough!!! |

The location was very attr There was loud jazz music being played which we were not warned about in advance. Also we were told we had to pay cash for the meal rather than use a card |

The fact that it was central to all local attractions for the tourist, it had its own car park. The room rate was reasonable. The reception area was untidy and not at all welcoming. The room we were shown to was a double when I specifically booked and received confirmation for a twin. The staff, although pleasant, did not wear any defining name badge or mode of dress in order to identify who was who. The room, although spacious and clean, we were unable to open the window due to a broken sash cord. The window was eventually propped open with a 'piece of wood' (health and safety issue), the toilet did not readily flush, nowhere to hang towels and the shower head could not be secured. On returning to the room on the first day the beds had not properly been made, there were only clean towels on my bed not the second one, the floor had not been hoovered and my overnight water glass had not been washed up. At breakfast we were not asked what we would like but just asked 'full cooked breakfast?' without saying what it consisted of. |

The location and parking facilities are what you are paying for at this hotel and that alone was our reason for staying here. Ok for 1 night, but wouldn't want to stay for longer. Staff very helpful, efficient and very friendly. breakfast only served until 9.30 on a weekend. |

The location was very good, also plenty of parking I think there wasn't enough staff, they perhaps need a bit more attention to detail. |

Being located in the old part of the city, it offers exellent chance to look around with little effort. The place is noisless and tranquile. A polite and ready to serve staff is an other asset. Old style furniture of the rooms makes your stay more natural and comfortable. A big parking area on the back yard is good for those who come with their car. |

Location to restaurants, and major sites in Lincoln. Breakfast was good, beds comfortable. Rooms noisy as above bar, some of the bar staff not very friendly - and only served the regulars. Owner (Manager) friendly though, and lady who checked us in was friendly. |

Very Co-operative & helpful Kitchen staff. Very helpful & nice American girl member of staff, Excellent position of Hotel in old quarter.Nice, big, room with working sash window. On reflection, good value for the cost. lack of telephone in room ( not really essential ) . plumbing a little hit and miss & definitely needed a new ( or working properly ) TV in room! Maybe, a little help with luggage on arrival ( I was recovering from a broken leg! ) |
