Good facilities, comfy beds, thick curtains that block out morning sunlight, friendly staff.
No vegetarian fry up option.
Staff very friendly and obliging
Clean comfortable room ,friendly staff and an amazing breakfast.a great location if visiting cambridge again
Well located, near train station, you can walk there with your laggage without problem, very friendly the personal
We arrived earlier in the morning. We wree allowed to put our luggages in the B&B and were able to check in at 14:00, which is earlier than the normal check in time.
Some lights are broken in the room.
Staff. Location. Cleanliness. Food.
The room was big and very clean. The price was amazing.
The privacy and the location was good for walking around Cambridge
The noise from the public bar when the football was on the television we could not have a normal conversation without raising our voices
Ideal location about 15/20 mins walk to town and a further 10 mins to the punting and some really good pubs ( especially the Mitre). Roast and the breakfast at the Earl of Derby was excellent and all the staff friendly and helpful.
We were in room 5 and the rubbish was collected around 7am which was very noisy so would recommend a room at the back of the car park, maybe 7 or 8 if you don't want to woken up early.
Based by the train station this made it a prefect location for us as we came up from London for a race night at Newmarket. Friendly & helpful staff really made it a night to remember. Bar stayed open to 3am :)
Pillows are as thin as rizla's.
good wi-fi/ private parking. the room was in ground floor so it was easy to access the room
poor breakfast window don't open
Real English atmosphere, parking, breakfast, staff
The lock on the door, easy to lock out yourself, because your mechanical (!) key is securing the electricity, so must be kept in a holder, you can not substitute it as it was an electronical key, and you can not open the door-knob. Not practical, very uncomfortable, small investment to resolve, why not?
Very friendly and helpful staff
Hearty cooked breakfasts, but a cereal option would be good.
Good location near station. Wifi worked well. Good breakfast included. Good shower.
Over all we got what we paid for. Approx 1 mile to the centre of town a straight walk. Able to leave our car in car park for the day.
Room average, Ticked box for double bed but told we needed to explain the request for a double bed. Noisy fridge.
Good breakfast, comfortable, clean rooms. Very close to the station. Can leave luggage after checkout.
The fan in the bathroom didn't work, we mentioned it to the staff but it wasn't repaired.
The staff frindliness. And the breakfast
The condition of the room and furniture. No security for the room
The staff, the beds, the bathroom, the wifi
Sticky tables in restaurant/pub (not unclean, just in need of resurfacing)
Friendly staff. It was o.k for a nights stay. The room was clean but looked a little tired.
Poor cereal choice for breakfast. Cooked breakfast was far too oily. Good hotel if you are a builder as the customers were all builders!
We liked the fact that the room was large and the room facilities were good.
The pub side of it left much to be desired, the tables were in need of refurbishing as was the décor.
bar and restaurant on site
could be very noisy with beer garden in nice weather. ood 25 min walk into centre and not much for choice around pub
Good value for money accommodation, breakfast good. Parking good.
The mess that construction workers left on staircase. This type of thing could be better managed.
Great breakfast. Comfy bed. Good location. Friendly staff.
It was too hot!! But then who could have predicted the equatorial weather conditions. Could have done with a better fan in the room though.
The Pub was nice and the staff friendly.
The room was barely habitable. It was right on top of a very busy road and, therefore, very noisy with the window open. The window had to be open because the room was so hot. The open window and a tiny fan made it just possible to sleep fitfully for the minutes when ambulances or lorries or loud pedestrians were not passing by. We left exhausted. Do not pay for a room in advance. Make sure, if you think you might like to stay here, to see the room first.
- big clean room and higienic bathroom - helpful staff - cosy atmosphere - iron, blow-drier and water heater included in a room - good working shower and more than enough towels
- would prefer one adjustable pipe with the bathroom sink, not two separate for cold and hot water
